As a St. Louis native, it has been exciting to see how Loufest has grown from a local event to one of the big dogs. Now in its sixth year, the two-day festival boasts a lineup that includes The Avett Brothers, Hozier, Ludacris, Billy Idol, Brandon Flowers, Young the Giant, Umphrey's McGee, local act Pokey LaFarge and more. The two-day festival, produced by Listen Live Entertainment and C3 Presents, returns to Forest Park's Central Field on Sept. 12-13. Tickets are now on sale here. -
Jack Ü Added To Hangout Festival 2015 After Sam Smith Cancelation
Hangout Festival attendees were disappointed to hear that Sam Smith had canceled several months of touring heading into the summer as he recovers from vocal chord surgery. The "Stay With Me" crooner was set to be one of the headliners at the festival, but now that spot was left vacant by his departure. Hangout originally shuffled some bands around and gave them longer sets, but they have found their final replacement for Smith in the form of Skrillex and Diplo as Jack Ü. -

Chicago-based rockers Umphrey's McGee are famous for their live performances, full of light show and jamming. Now, the band has announced its eighth studio album, the follow up to 2011's Death By Stereo, and tells Rolling Stone that they are looking to break away from their improv-heavy live show in favor of a solid rock experience. -
Flood Relief Album Featuring Furthur, Widespread Panic, Umphrey’s McGee and More Will Benefit Victims of Colorado Flood
The 28-track album, Rivers Rising: Front Range Flood Relief 2013, will benefit the damage caused by the floods via United Way Foothills. Available for purchase on Livedownloads.com, the complication features many jam bands known for their ties to the area including Further, The String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon, Widespread Panic, Umphrey's McGee, Slightly Stoopid, Railroad Earth and many more. All of the tracks are recorded from live performances.
