As previously reported, Trent Reznor was pretty angry at the Grammys for cutting his performance with Dave Grohl, Josh Homme and Lindsey Buckingham short in favor of advertisements from sponsors. He tweeted, "Music's biggest night...to be disrespected. A heartfelt F*** YOU guys." -
2014 GRAMMY WINNERS: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney show the old guard can still hold its own in the rock genre
This year, the Grammys honored the founding fathers of the rock genre. Led Zeppelin won Best Rock Album for Celebration Day after never picking up a Grammy during their creative peak. Black Sabbath, as expected, took home Best Metal Performance for "God Is Dead?" Best Rock Song went to the super group, unofficially dubbed "Sirvana," made up of Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear for their song "Cut Me Some Slack." Imagine Dragons represented the new guard with its Best Rock Performance win, and Vampire Weekend picked up Best Alternative Album for Modern Vampires of the City. -
