Most Arcade Fire fans already know that frontman Win Butler loves to play basketball. He has played in charity events and even hosts a game in Montreal titled Pop Vs. Jock. The singer is now reportedly going to show off his skills during the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game, which is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13. Arcade Fire, Bon Iver To Play Basketball For Charity In Montreal
If there's anything that Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler loves more than music, it's basketball (and since he's about nine feet tall, he's pretty good at it, too). Over the last few years, Butler has hosted the annual Pop vs. Jock basketball game in Montreal, in which musicians play against college basketball players for charity. Exclaim reports that this year's Pop vs. Jock game will take place on Sept. 20 during the Pop Montreal festival, and in addition to Butler and his brother Will, some of the other participating musicians include Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon and Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture. -
