• OMI 'Cheerleader' Knocks Wiz Khalifa 'See You Again' from No. 1 on Hot 100

The times, they are a changin'. Today (July 13) marks the first time in its history that Billboard has released its charts on a Monday (following the implementation of a universal Friday release date), and with the new chart date, we have a new No. 1. After weeks of vaulting up the charts, OMI's crossover reggae hit "Cheerleader" has unseated longtime chart topper "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa at the top spot.
  • 7 Longest Hip-Hop Streaks At No. 1: Eminem, The Black Eyed Peas, Wiz Khalifa

Yesterday we learned that Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth had matched hip-hop history by topping the Hot 100 for a 12th week with "See You Again," the pair's smash from the Furious 7 soundtrack. The genre has come a long way since Blondie landed the first rap atop the Hot 100 during 1980 (yeah, Blondie) but still: Only seven hip-hop songs have managed to spend at least 10 weeks on top of arguably the biggest chart in music. Join us as we count up from fewest weeks to most weeks at no. 1, and check back next Wednesday to see if Khalifa and co. manage to take history a step further.
  • Why Wiz Khalifa and 'See You Again' Won't Break Hot 100 Hip-Hop Record

Wiz Khalifa (and Charlie Puth) stand on the brink of history, having tied the streak for the longest period for any hip-hop song atop the Billboard Hot 100 with "See You Again," the showcase number from the Furious 7 soundtrack. Unfortunately, the likelihood that they break that record upon the release of next week's numbers.
  • Wiz Khalifa 'See You Again' Tops Hot 100: OMI, Silento & Rachel Platten Make Gains

It's not even a "See You Again" for Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth and the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100: it's that they're never leaving. For the 12th nonconsecutive week, the Furious 7 soundtrack single has topped the charts - but new singles from OMI, Jack Ü with Justin Bieber and Rachel Platten are coming up quickly as summer gets hotter.
  • Billboard Hot 100 vs. Official Charts Company: 2Pac, Wiz Khalifa and 40 Years of No. 1s

Few people realize just how different the music across the pond is from that we listen to in America, that the Hot 100 doesn't exist in the UK, and that its equivalent to our singles chart doesn't just feature a whole bunch of American artists with even more One Direction and Ellie Goulding tracks.Music Times is looking back at the last five decades of music, and at the no. 1 hits on April 2 every ten years on the spot, going back to 1975. The ultimate contest, of course, is which country has better taste. Last month the win went to the UK in the best-of-five showdown. This month features Wiz Khalifa, Carrie Underwood, 2Pac and more in the field.
  • ASAP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa Announce 11-Date Fall European Tour

Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky have both had what could possibly be the most successful year of their respective careers thus far and in doing so have decided to link up for a joint tour this fall that will probably be quite lit. Titled the "16 Day Trip," the 11-date tour will take the "See You Again" and A.L.L.A rappers across Western Europe for shows in the UK, France, Germany and elsewhere.
  • Wiz Khalifa 'See You Again' Tops Hot 100; OMI 'Cheerleader' Makes Big Gains

It's another big summer week for Wiz Khalifa's Furious 7 single "See You Again." For the 10th week this year, the Charlie Puth featuring track crowns the Billboard Hot 100, but one song continues its charge up the charts and looks to be a solid contender for the coveted No. 1 spot: OMI's surprise sunny hit "Cheerleader."
  • Wiz Khalifa 'See You Again' Heads Hot 100 for Ninth Week as OMI 'Cheerleader' Breaks Into Top 10

Wiz Khalifa doesn't even have to say "See You Again" to the No. 1 spot in the country, because his Charlie Puth featuring Furious 7 single just can't leave the top. For the ninth week, the Paul Walker tribute track sits at the summit of the chart, holding off singles from Taylor Swift, Walk the Moon and Jason Derulo. And, while Khalifa seems to be the king of early summer, one song is coming for him: OMI's crossover his "Cheerleader."
  • Wiz Khalifa Inches Toward History, Fetty Wap Tops Streams on Hot 100

"See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth spends a second week atop the Hot 100 during its second reign at the peak of popular songs. That makes it eight weeks in total for "Again," joining a rather elite clientele among hip-hop songs to top the list for that long (it's going to have to find five more weeks at no. 1 to grab the record however, a tie between Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow"). Most of the Hot 100 love comes from the song's dominance on the radio airplay charts, where it received 171 million spins.
