    The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards were held on August 30, Sunday, and was one of the first live-event awards show to be held ever since the COVID-19 pandemic. The show had numerous buzzworthy peformances put on by a star-studded line-up, like Lady Gaga and Ariana Granda's TV debut of "Rain On Me" and BTS's first-ever performance of their latest all-English single "Dynamite".

    Swedish superstar producer/DJ Avicii has released the new music video for his latest single "The Nights" from his latest The Days/Nights EP. The EP featured his two new songs, "The Days" and "The Nights" that continue Avicii's trend of meshing together country with electronic music. The music video shows follows the carefree life of Rory Kramer a videographer for DJs including 3Lau. We see Kramer doing flips off of cliffs into water, riding around in hacked up convertibles and participating in a variety of water sports as he lives life with as joy and spirit as it appears one can fit into a 3-minute video.

    On the heels of an EP announcement by Avicii's manager, Ash Pournouri, Avicii has decided to stun the music community by releasing a new song "Divine Sorrow" with Wyclef Jean without warning. However, as part of Avicii's partnership with World AIDS organization (RED), who's goal is to deliver the first AIDS free generation in thirty years, and Coca Cola, one of the corporate sponsors for the campaign, Avicii has released the final product of a previously reported collaboration with Wyclef Jean, "Divine Sorrow".

    Avicii may not be touring on the road anymore due to persistent health problems, but that does not mean he has stopped working. His manager took to instagram and posted a picture that is presumably the cover art for his next EP, The Days / Night (via "Dancing Astronaut"). Both songs have already been unveiled to the public for some time, with "The Days" getting an official release on October 3 on all portals. "Night" was already previewed as part of the FIFA, the soccer video game '15 soundtrack.
