Ab-Soul recently opened up about his deteriorating eyesight and revealed that Puff Daddy has advised him to get a corneal transplant eye surgery while discussing his relationship with Bad Boy Records.
During an interview with GoodFellaMedia, per HipHopDX, Soulo revealed the symptoms from his Stevens Johnson Syndrome have continued to affect his eyesight.
"My cornea is more scarred now than when I talked to you last time," Ab-Soul said. "I was talking to Puffy or 'Dr. Sean Combs', and he really suggests that I go ahead and try to get a cornea transplant. I'm just a little eerie about that because what if they mess up. I just look at it on a brighter side of things. You can't have it all. I have vivid memory of having 20/20 vision as a child. Vivid memory. Even a couple of my shroom psychedelic trips I've been able to see in HD. I'm not completely blind. So the analogy is like, your cornea is your windshield. So if your windshield is cracked, you get bad glare from the sun sometimes. That's why you wanna get that fixed."
Soul went on to explain his relationship with Puff and being approached by the label years ago.
"Bad Boy had reached out to me early in my career a couple times," he said. "But you know, you know I'm loyal. When Q started calling himself Puffy. He actually met up with him, I guess that just kind of brought us all together."
Soul remains hopeful that his collaboration with ScHoolboy Q "Druggys With Hoes Pt. 3" will be released soon.
"It's gotta come from the boss though-Top Dawg. It was supposed to go on the album. We just couldn't clear the sample. That's why it wasn't on Oxymoron."
Stay tuned for more updates.
