Chief Keef has shared a new studio session video featuring unlikely collaborative partner Andy Milonakis and his cousin Fredo Santana. The video follows them as they recorded their tracks together "somewhere in California" as they sip on lean, smoke a hefty amount of weed and lay down bars for tracks that ended up on Sorry for the Weight and Gucci Mane's Views from Zone 6.
Milonakis provides some choice quotes as he explains how to make "white boy lean," explaining further how it is done: "The bouquet of the flavor of the codeine shouldn't be tampered with the flavor of Sprite. So you put that s**t in a glass bottle of Pellegrino and you're leaning for real, though."
He also shares a story of a time he was listening to Sosa with Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent.
"I was listening to Keef with like 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa and they both sound like business executives next to him. Keef has got that f**k real hood sound."
The collaboration first came to light when the pair released their single "No Hook Gang," which featured Sosa and Milonakis trading one verse apiece with no verse to connect it. This grew into more collaborations that appeared on Sorry for the Weight and Views from Zone 6.
Milonakis spoke to Noisey about the collaboration and how it came about organically through social media after they had exchanged messages to hang out a few times that never came to fruition. But the one time they did, the pair made it count.
"We hung out and listened to like 100 beats," explained Milonakis.
Chief Keef was remodeling a new home studio but didn't have a mic, so they had to go to a studio to make music.
"We ended up at this studio in Burbank, and I wasn't even planning on laying anything down but he was texting me from the booth, 'Yo, you got something for this? You gonna come lay something down?'" Milonakis recounted. "I was like, 'Oh, s**t, I didn't know I was supposed to be writing.' So I wrote a verse, laid it down, and he just kept hitting me up like that for every beat that came on. I ended up writing six songs with him that day."
Stay tuned because there might be more music coming from these two at some point. Watch the video below, via XXL.
