"Today begins a new chapter. Thank you for always standing by us, this new music project is for u!" she tweeted.

According to TMZ, Diddy's former protégés have decided to switch up their sound, leaving R&B and pop for EDM.

Danity Kane announced their breakup last August following a studio fight between O'Day and former groupmate Dawn Richard.

"I think we've done enough to everybody. You can't get people's hopes up like that and then s**t on 'em consistently," Dawn told Rap-Up TV in January. "I think we've tarnished the name so badly ... We left a bad taste in everybody's mouth."

Prior to their split, DK planned a major comeback, including their No Filter Tour and a new album. After things came to physical blows, O'Day and Bex announced that the group would still release its final album, DK3.

"What's up DK fans? I just want to let you know that I love you and miss you so much and because you guys never gave up on us, Shannon and I haven't given up on you," O'Day said in a video posted on Instagram, which has since been deleted.

Former members D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres have seemingly steered clear of the drama.

This marks the second time a subgroup has emerged from DK. Back in 2010, Diddy recruited Richard and singer-songwriter Kalenna Harper for his group Diddy Dirty Money. The trio spawned hits including "Hello Good Morning" and "Coming Home." They released one album, Last Train to Paris, while signed to Bad Boy Records.

Dumblonde made its first public appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles Sunday, March 29.
