Frank Ocean's Website Relaunched with New Merch Ahead of 'Boys Don't Cry' Release

The planned July release date for Frank Ocean's new album Boys Don't Cry has come and gone, but it still seems as though the "Thinking About You" singer has something new coming soon. Yesterday (Aug. 3), Ocean's official website relaunched and then went blank, but in the meanwhile skillful code fiends were able to look at some of the merchandise that Ocean is prepping on his site.

As Stereogum reports, on Aug. 3 when fans went to Ocean's website frankocean.com, they were redirected to a Shopify website that was password protected. However, tech-savvy fans were able to go into the source code and pick out items of clothing that were set to go on sale, presumably when Boys Don't Cry launches.

The clothing follows a simple design aesthetic, with a stark white T-shirt and a blank white hoodie featuring a small, simple rainbow design (and the hoodie also features a checkered sleeve). The store also included a banana yellow colored shoes. As The Fader reports, the clothing items range in price from $30 for the T-shirt to $60 for the hoodie.

Since the initial reports, Ocean's website has since been relaunched again, displaying a plain white page.

News about the follow-up to Ocean's 2012 hit Channel Orange remains scarce. Earlier this year, Ocean promised that he would release the new album in July along with a magazine in a Tumblr post. However, July came and went with no more news or an album from Ocean or his camp.

However, just days after the promised album was not delivered, Ocean's brother teased fans on Instagram, posting an album link that led to... Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."
