On Wednesday (Aug. 26), Fetty Wap released a trailer unveiling the cover art for his self-titled debut album. 300 Entertainment shared the brief clip on its YouTube channel.
The cover highlights his trademark missing eye and faux dreadlocks. The New Jersey rapper also channels his inner-Tupac Shakur, rocking a bandana tied in the front. The artwork appears at the 1:31 mark of the trailer, but elsewhere in the video, Wap can be seen expressing his gratitude towards fans during a performance in Kansas City, MO.
Since announcing the project's release date, Wap hasn't given away many details. Fetty Wap is slated to drop on Sept. 25.
As previously reported, Wap recently set rap chart history, thanks in part to his new single "Again." He has become the first rapper to chart his first four songs in the top 10 simultaneously. "Again" currently sits at No. 8 on the Hot Rap Songs chart (dated August 29). Wap is also charting at No. 2 with "Trap Queen," No. 3 with "My Way" featuring Monty and No. 5 with "679," featuring Remy Boyz. Wap is the first to do so with his first four charting songs.
His latest release began at the top of the Rap Digital Songs with 88,000 singles sold. The release has become Wap's second No. 1 on the list following "My Way," which was remixed by Drake back in May. During an interview with BigBoyTV, Wap recently announced that he has "something big" planned with the Toronto rapper.
Wap is presently on the road as part of Chris Brown's One Hell of a Nite tour, alongside Kid Ink, Omarion and Teyana Taylor. On Thursday (Aug. 27), the singing rapper plans to perform at a free concert for nearly 1,200 high school students in his hometown of Patterson, New Jersey. The show will take place at Bauerle Field according to the mayor.
