No, "Pope Francis" is not the name of a new band that took on the Holy Father's namesake. We're talking about our actual Pope! According to a number of reports that definitely seemed like jokes at first, Pope Francis is releasing an 11-track prog-rock album entitled Wake Up! in November. If that news wasn't exciting enough, you can stream his first release, "Wake Up! Go! Go! Forward!" over on SoundCloud!
While we understand it's very difficult to have someone follow the Pope, we figure Sia is a perfect next act that can handle the load. Though she's known for her songs nowadays, she was mostly known in the music industry as a songwriter for pop acts like Rihanna, Beyonce and more. She's compiling a number of these songs she wrote for others on a new album entitled This is Acting, and this week she shared "Alive," which was written for Adele. Listen to Sia's version right here:
Earlier this month, Sam Smith was named the singer to take on the next James Bond theme for the 2015 film Spectre. This week, the pop singer released "Writing's on the Wall." Have a listen right here!
Father John Misty, aka Josh Tillman, released the acoustic song "The Memo" this week, allowing fans a taste of things to come from the popular singer-songwriter. Listen to this new tune right here:
This week saw a number of streamable albums hitting the Internet, including maybe one of the most anticipated records of the year, "Trap Queen" rapper Fetty Wap's self-titled debut album. Click here to listen now!

New Bermuda is the newest album from black metal revivalists Deafheaven, who have been releasing some of the coolest tracks of 2015 leading up to this release. You can stream this album right here:
As you all know, we're very into remixes and cover, so this week was pretty exceptional for us! First, we heard the great cover of Justin Bieber's newest single, "What Do You Mean?," from Scottish electro-pop trio CHVRCHES. Listen to this cover here"
We also saw Kendrick Lamar reteam with George Clinton on a remix for a new Funkadelic song, "Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard On You." Listen here!
Coldplay has a new album on the way, entitled A Head Full of Dreams, and this week the English pop band premiered the song "Amazing Day" at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City. Is this the first song off of the album? Check out this performance right here:
