  • Parody TIDAL Facts Twitter Account Created To Troll Jay Z

Yesterday, Jay Z got tired of seeing all of the negative publicity surrounding his latest acquisition, the hi-fidelity music streaming service TIDAL, and decided to lay out some #TIDALfacts of his own to shed some light on the situation in a stream of conscious rant / explanation. He revealed for the first some a small bit of concrete information on the royalty structure that is being championed by the service as better than its competition. 75 percent of revenue will be paid to artists, writers and producers, rather than the current model where most money heads straight to labels and distributors, not the content creators. With all of the hate that TIDAL has been getting, it was only a matter of time before someone parodied what Jay Z had to say and one individual created a fake Tidal Facts twitter account to give the "real" facts about the service and those involved. We have selected a few choice tweets from the account for you below.

  • The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Amy Winehouse: Documentaries Disapproved by Band and Family

Amy: The Girl Behind The Name is one of the most anticipated documentaries of the year thus far, set to shed light on the light and mindset of Amy Winehouse, one of the millennium's brightest rising stars before dying of alcohol poisoning during 2011. One party has decided that it doesn't support the content of the film on the eve of its release at the Cannes Film Festival: her family. Father Mitch Winehouse alleges that the film places an undue amount of blame for her lifestyle upon the family, based on interviews with her then-boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil (who himself was notorious for supplying her habits). Lawsuits for slander may be pending. In the meantime, check out five other music documentaries that the starring performers—such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Eric Clapton—don't want you to see.
