• Jeff Bridges Releases Ambient Album 'Sleeping Tapes' to Help Listeners Sleep

    Actor Jeff Bridges is no stranger to the music community. He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of a country singer in the film "Crazy Heart" and has even released two country albums, but his latest project is something that pretty much nobody expected. According to "The Wall Street Journal," Bridges has released an album of ambient music titled "Sleeping Tapes" and, as its name suggests, it is designed to help its listeners fall asleep -- that is the album cover above.

    Arcade Fire member Will Butler has shared the music video for his single "Anna" from his upcoming debut studio album "Policy," which you can check out below. The video takes a cue from Radiohead's "Lotus Flower" video and features a single shot of Butler dancing alone to the song in a dark field. It also doubles as a lyric video and features some crude animation to visualize certain lyrics and musical passages, such as the images of various forms of currency to go along with the "money" refrain.

Allen is far from the first director to be a fan of opera but he is one of the few who have bucked up and attempted to direct their own renditions of orchestral classics.     Atlanta rapper ILoveMakonnen has shared a remix of his song "21st Street" featuring a new verse from Snoop Dogg, which you can check out below. The song originally appeared on Makonnen's 2014 mixtape Drink More Water 3, and again on Drink More Water 4, and according to XXL, this new remix was promised last year, when Makonnen shared its artwork (seen up above) through his Twitter account. The track features some pretty solid atmospheric production courtesy of DJ Spinz and Dun Deal, but Snoop is the real star here, delivering his verse with the same type of precise yet still relaxed flow that he's famous for.

    One of the most important acts in electronic music, Kraftwerk are the subject of a new documentary by BBC Four, a TV channel operated by the BBC. Titled "Kraftwerk: Pop Art," the documentary takes a deeper look into the pioneering German electronic music group's eight-day residency at London's Tate Art Gallery. The residency, or exhibit, titled "Kraftwerk -- The Catalogue 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8," was a "chronological exploration of the group's sonic and visual experiments and presents eight classic master works from across their celebrated repertoire with spectacular 3D visualizations and effects," according to the show description.

Fans can relive classics like "Tommy" and "Quadrophenia" in addition to a bonus, two-LP version of the group's "The Who Hits 50!" greatest hits collection.
