• London Club Plastic People Shutting Down

Clubbers in London are being jolted with some sudden, saddening news. Revered Shoreditch venue, Plastic People, has announced after reports started to circulate last night that it would be shuttering its doors this weekend. The news was confirmed by the club's owner, Charlotte Kepel, to Resident Advisor, telling the website, "We will not open again in 2015. • Jeremih Featured In Maejor's "Get You Alone" Music Video [WATCH]

Detroit R&B singer, Maejor, has shared the music video for his new single, "Get You Alone" featuring Jeremih, which you can check out here. The video is pretty straightforward with Maejor singing the song near a hot tub while girls in bikinis smear glow in the dark paint over his body. Jeremih makes an appearance in the song's second half (it actually comes off like a completely different song entirely, which is pretty cool), singing/rapping about being "a fat kid for that fat ass," so you know this guy's a sweetheart.
  • Atmosphere Shares "January On The Lake" Music Video From Latest Album 'Southsiders' [WATCH]

Minneapolis hip-hop duo, Atmosphere, have shared the music video for their song, "January On Lake Street," which you can check out here. The video follows a skateboarder riding around a city (presumably Minneapolis), intercut with slow motion shots of various people doing pretty much nothing. That description makes the video seem a bit boring, but it all ties together at the end in a tragic way (mini-spoiler alert: it's a lot like the end of Melancholia).
  • POP ETC. Shares New Song "Running In Circles," Announces New Album [LISTEN]

Brooklyn-via-Berkeley indie rock group POP ETC (formerly the Morning Benders) have shared a new track titled "Running in Circles," which you can check out here. According to Stereogum, the track is the first to be shared from POP ETC's upcoming studio album, which is set for release later this year. Keeping up with the recent indie rock trend of paying homage to mainstream '80s rock artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Don Henley, and Tom Petty (see: The War On Drugs, Ryan Adams), "Running In Circles" is a dancey, synth-heavy track that could easily be spun in a club, with a chorus that could legitimately be mistaken for a top 10 hit from 1985.
  • Avicii Remixes Avicii: 'The Nights' [LISTEN]

Avicii has had a restful end of 2014 after taking the last few months of the year off to recuperate from lingering health issues. This has given the Swedish superstar producer plenty of time to work in the studio and make new music. He is working on the follow up album to his 2013 album True, titled Stories and has given us a peak at what the Avicii brain trust has been creating over the past few months with several different releases. One of those releases, "The Nights", which was included on the FIFA '15, just got a remix by Avicii, as he continues the trend of remixing himself.
  • The Beatles Engineer Glyn Johns Calls 'Let It Be' Album 'A Bunch of Garbage'

Glyn Johns, a sound engineer and producer who has worked with The Rolling Stones, The Clash and The Band, is promoting a new book titled Sound Man. Back in November, an excerpt of the book made headlines after it was revealed that Bob Dylan wanted to record an album with The Stones and The Beatles. Johns, who also worked with the Fab Four, talked to The New York Times about his experience with the group's final album, Let It Be. Even with tunes like "Across the Universe," "The Long and Winding Road" and "Get Back," Johns labeled the record "a bunch of garbage."
  • Thomas Rhett Makes New Year's Resolution To Do Special Pre-Show Ritual

Thomas Rhett is set to embark on a huge national tour with Florida Georgia Line, and there's little doubt that 2015 will be an important year in his young career. But when asked about his New Year's resolution, Rhett wasn't focused on writing better songs or showing more of his soul to fans on a nightly basis.
