Ray claimed he was the one who originated the sound."My brother Dave and I played records so loud it made the speakers distort, and we thought it'd be a nice idea to make the guitar sound that distorted, and we cranked up the amplifier and I stuck a knitting needle in it," Ray told NPR.This story upset Dave, who recently took to his Facebook page in an attempt to set the record straight."My brother is lying," he wrote. "I don't know why he does this but it was my Elpico amp that I bought and out of frustration I cut the speaker cone up with a razor blade and I was so shocked and surprised and excited that it worked that I demonstrated the sound to Ray and Pete.""Pete" refers to late bassist Pete Quaife, who died in 2010."Pete didn't even like it and laughed and said it sounded like a dog barking," Dave said. "Ray liked the sound and he had written a riff on the piano which formed the basis of the song 'You Really Got Me' and I played the riff on my guitar with MY new sound. I ALONE CREATED THIS SOUND."

The singer got into a heated exchange on social media, standing by Cosby as a friend and advocate for proof of the allegations.When one follower, also a Temple alum, asked Scott to sign a petition for the university to cut ties with the comedy star, the singer responded in the negative, philly.com noted. Cosby resigned from the university's board of trustees yesterday, Dec. 1.

Kanye West and Carrie Underwood also performed.Had Springsteen decided to where some shades, he would have looked just like the Irish frontman. The Boss strolled out on stage during The Edge's shimmering guitar intro to "Where the Streets Have No Name" and looked supremely confident. Springsteen brought a little of that hardened, New-Jersey grit to the Joshua Tree hit.The band opted for another classic from the 1987 album with "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," which Springsteen dedicated to Bono. "We've done a radio tour and radio shows, but now we get to do actual shows and do the entire album for people who have been supporting me."Hale will return to film "PLL" in March, but she says she might still be able to sneak a few extra shows in. For now, though, "We're keeping it short and sweet. We're going to where my music was played on radio, and when we stopped for a radio tour, people came to the shows."The setlist will mostly comprise of album material, but expect some surprises."I have a few little ideas for covers that are brewing in my mind," she said. "We're coming up with ideas to make it special."Playing live will be tough work, per usual."It's the most vulnerable you get," she said. "It gives people more leeway to judge you and judge what you're doing. The "Blank Space" singer recently announced that she will be headed back to Australia next winter, a trip that will make her the first female solo artist to play back-to-back stadium tours in the country.Swift last played for the Aussies in 2013 on her Red Tour. "Billboard" points out that she was the first female to play stadiums there since Madonna's Girlie Show two decades earlier.Taylor's 1989 tour has now reached 63 total dates in eight countries and four continents with the addition of four Australian engagements.
