    Arkansas festival Wakarusa has announced that it won't be returning for a 2016 session. Promoters Pipeline Productions say they were "significantly damaged by partners claiming to share our vision" and this is why they won't be going ahead with the festival in 2016. The 2015 iteration featured acts like Big Gigantic, The Roots, Thievery Corporation, Young The Giant, Major Lazer, Chance The Rapper and STS9 as some of their marquee bookings.

    For some very lucky servicemen and women, Christmas came early this year for them and their families. USO and Twentieth Century FOX got together to send Empire castmembers Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Gray to Japan to visit the many troops stationed there. The three coworkers (and friends) chatted with hundreds of airmen and sailors, as well as their families, while touring the country. They also hosted free giveaways, an Empire Q & A and two parties open to those who serve and their entire families. As a cherry on top, the troops and their families were also treated to a concert featuring Smollett and Gray.
