Vanessa Carlton and John McCauley of Deer Tick got married on Friday. The ceremony was officiated by none other than Stevie Nicks, according to Rolling Stone. Carlton shared a picture of the ceremony in a post that read, "Thanks Stevie for marrying us!" McCauley also posted a photo that read, "Married! Prince plays 27-song career-spanning set for 2013 Holiday Show [Setlist]
Prince began his three-night stand at Mohegan Sun Arena Friday night. The 27-song set lasted two and a half hours and covered his 35-year career, according to Consequence of Sound. He was backed by a 21-piece band including members of 3rdEyeGirl and New Power Generation. The set included hits "Purple Rain" and "When Doves Cry" as well as a the 1980s B-side "She's Always in My Hair." He also played "Mutiny" from his one-off project The Family. -

Following Nirvana's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the city of Hoquiam, Washington has declared April 10th to be Nirvana Day. The city is part of Grays Harbor County and sits just four miles from Kurt Cobain's hometown of Aberdeen. The ever-prolific Flaming Lips are giving the 2008 feature film Christmas on Mars its online debut today. Written and directed by frontman Wayne Coyne, the story centers on Major Syrtis during his first Christmas on Mars, which has recently been colonized. It features guest appearances by Portlandia's Fred Armisen, Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock and Adam Goldberg, according to Consequence of Sound.
