    2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys' classic single "Good Vibrations," and to celebrate, singer Mike Love will be releasing a memoir titled Good Vibrations: My Life as a Beach Boy. According to Rolling Stone, the memoir is being co-written with author James S. Hirsch and will cover Love's entire life, beginning with his "early childhood and family story."

Ghostface totally delivers as well, and the gritty production from The Revelations is a dream for die-hard fans of classic '90s hip-hop.

    A few weeks ago, The Flaming Lips released their 14th studio album 'With a Little Help from My Fwends,' a full-length tribute to the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band,' and today, Nov. 20, the psych-rockers have shared another tribute: a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's Christmas classic "Merry Xmas (War is Over)," which you can check out below. As can be expected from Wayne Coyne and his crew, the track is a psychedelic reinterpretation of Lennon and Ono's original, replacing the acoustic guitars with synthesizers, and even features Ono herself on backing vocals.

    Belgian singer Selah Sue has shared the lyric video for her single "Together," featuring a guest verse from Childish Gambino, which you can check out below. At first, the song has some ethereal, electronic R&B production that sounds like a more accessible version of FKA Twigs, though it eventually morphs into a more energetic club track with some tinny trap beats thrown in for good measure.     Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ has revealed the release date and album cover — which you can see above — for his long-awaited debut album "B4.DA.$$." In a brief album trailer posted to YouTube, which you can check out below, Joey revealed that the album is set to drop Jan. 20, which also happens to be Joey's 20th birthday. In a message posted beneath the video, Joey explains why releasing the album on his birthday was so important to him."Peace young world this is the Badmon Jozif and I just want to thank all of my supporters and fans for being so patient with me as I finished my first album," Joey begins. "The wait is finally almost over and the release date is locked and loaded.""After discovering my birthday falls on a Tuesday (the day of the week all albums drop) next year I decided to save the album drop for then (1.20.15)," Joey writes. "I thought it was the best time to cause a shift. It's always been a goal of mine to drop a project on my birthday, and the premonition has finally come into fruition.     Grunge legends Soundgarden are having a pretty good 2014, reissuing their 1994 classic Superunknown and releasing the three-disc rarities compilation Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path, but they're far from done with the reissues. In an interview with Pulse of Radio (via Blabbermouth), guitarist Kim Thayil revealed that the band has plans to remix and reissue its debut album Ultramega OK, which was released in 1988 and recorded with legendary grunge producer Jack Endino, who also recorded Mudhoney and Nirvana.

    Hip-hop duo Run The Jewels have shared the music video for their single "Blockbuster Night, Pt. 1," which you can check out below. The Trevor Kane-directed clip casts El-P and Killer Mike as EMTs during a nightshift down in Mike's hometown of Atlanta, though they appear to be much better at rapping than saving people's lives (they even go so far as to flip off an old man who's clearly having a heart attack). Fellow Atlantan Cole Alexander of the Black Lips makes a brief cameo.

    Rock legend Rod Stewart is currently in the middle of a residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, but once that concludes in February, he will be shifting all his focus to his new album. In an interview with "Vegas Player," the 69-year-old singer revealed that he has been writing songs for his follow-up to 2013's "Time," and he is more prolific now than he ever was."Believe it or not, I've got 10 tracks ready for the new album. In a recent interview with radio.com, guitarist Alex Lifeson and bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee discussed the possibility of new music in the future."Some days I feel like being back out on the road and taking advantage of the fact that it's our 40th anniversary," Lifeson says when discussing the band's future plans.     Yesterday, Nov. 18, saw the re-release of "Grand Theft Auto V" for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and among its many new features are 162 new songs across its 17 fictional radio stations. Today, experimental hip-hop producer Flying Lotus shared one of his contributions to the game's new soundtrack, a moody and intense track titled "Medication Meditation" featuring Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, which you can check out below but the artwork above.The track is a stark difference from FlyLo's most recent album "You're Dead!" Instead of being highly complex and jazz-inflected, this is much more traditionally hip-hop, in no small part due to Krayzie Bone's wildly energetic verses. Being a Flying Lotus track, however, it still does not sound anything like your typical 2014 hip-hop single.

    2014 has been a huge year for Lana Del Rey, appearing on the cover of "Rolling Stone" and scoring her first No. 1 album, and next month she will be capping off her stellar year with the premiere of Tim Burton's latest film "Big Eyes," which features two new songs from the "Ultraviolence" singer."Tim showed her the film and she fell in love with it," screenwriter and producer Larry Karaszewski told "The Hollywood Reporter." "Women in particular seem to get the movie, and Lana really got the movie."Big Eyes tells the true story of American painter Margaret Keane (Amy Adams) whose work was credited to her husband Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) during the 1950s and '60s. Del Rey contributed two songs to the film: "Big Eyes" and "I Can Fly," both of which are written from the perspective of Margaret Keane.

    A few weeks ago, Taylor Swift caused a bit of a stir when she pulled her entire catalogue, including her recent platinum seller "1989," from Spotify, saying that the streaming service perpetuates "the perception that music has no value and should be free."Not everybody is buying Swift's story, however, and today, Nov. 18, British folk legend Billy Bragg posted a lengthy statement to his Facebook page explaining why Swift's reasons for pulling her music from Spotify are dishonest, citing the fact that her music is featured in Google's recently launched Music Key streaming service."These worthy sentiments have been somewhat undermined by Swift making her new album and back catalogue available on Google's new Music Key streaming service," Bragg writes in the Facebook post, "which also offers listeners a free service alongside a premium subscription tier."Taylor Swift's "1989" has famously become the only album released in 2014 to have sold a million copies, with some arguing that her decision to pull the album from Spotify contributed to its strong sales."If Ms Swift was truly concerned about perpetuating the perception that music has no value and should be free, she should be removing her material from You Tube, not cosying up to it," Bragg continues. "[S]he should just be honest with her fans and say, 'sorry, but Sergey Brin gave me a huge amount of money to be the headline name on the marquee for the launch of You Tube Music Key and so I've sold my soul to Google.'"
