Compton rapper YG and New York rapper A$AP Ferg have teamed up for a brief string of tour dates in November, Complex reports. The "BestCoast Connection" Tour — not affiliation with the band Best Coast — begins Nov. 13 in Philadelphia and ends Nov. 25 in Boston, making stops along the East Coast — apparently the best coast — as well as stops in Michigan and Toronto. -

On his Facebook account, Prince announced he will be the musical guest on the Nov. 1 episode of "Saturday Night Live," which will be hosted by comedian Chris Rock. Though legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell has retired from music, with her last album "Shine" released in 2007, Consequence of Sound reports she has announced the release of a career-spanning box set titled "Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, a Ballet, Waiting to Be Danced." The box set collects 53 remastered tracks over four discs, personally chosen by Mitchell, and is set for release Nov. 17. -
Lupe Fiasco Announces New Mixtape 'Lost in the Atlantic,' Blames Atlantic Records for Album Delay [WATCH]
Lupe Fiasco’s upcoming studio album "Tetsuo & Youth" has been delayed for a while — there were rumors of an August release date, which obviously did not happen — but today we learned he is not the one to blame. In an Instagram post from earlier today, Oct. 14, via radio.com, the Chicago rapper claimed his label Atlantic Records is holding back the release of "Tetsuo & Youth" until he gives them “a pop single,” and said that in the meantime he is "putting together a mini-project while they find one for me." This “mini-project” Fiasco is referring to is a new mixtape cleverly titled "Lost in the Atlantic," which he says was recorded “with a bunch of my friends to stay active and happy.” -

North Carolina synthpop band Future Islands has had a pretty hot year, with a star-making performance on The Late Show with David Letterman and top slots at Coachella and Primavera Sound, and today, they've announced that they're expanding their current tour. Pitchfork reports that the band has extended their tour into 2015, which includes a few U.S. dates, as well as two weeks in Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand for the Laneway Festival.
