    Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott and Da Brat reunited at the Soul Train Awards last month for a performance of their 1997 collaboration "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)." The show aired last night, Nov. 30, and the crowd was loving every minute of it. Eric Benet sang the intro while Total, MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage and Yo-Yo all joined in on the fun. The performance even included the Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes verse via a screen playing the music video.The audience erupted when Lil' Kim strutted onstage in the video below. She kicked off the wild song, eventually getting into her Shmoney Dance, "MTV News" noted.   • Early Dave Grohl Song 'Hooker on the Street' Surfaces After Appearing in Recent 'Sonic Highways' Episode [LISTEN]

    A song from Dave Grohl's early solo work has surfaced and it's downright funky. "Hooker on the Street" is one of 40 tracks Grohl wrote toward the end of Nirvana. The song played in Friday, Nov. 28's episode of the singer's HBO series "Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways" in which his current band visits Seattle, Washington, "Consequence of Sound" noted.The song shows off Grohl's ever-present sense of humor while offering an impressive look into some of the singer's influences. The Foo Fighters frontman does his best James Brown over a Jane's Addiction melody, and he even busts out some Glenn Danzig during the tune. Check it out below.During the episode, Grohl recalls Kurt Cobain's reaction to some of his early demo work — some of it would be featured on the debut album for the Foo Fighters in 1995."Kurt heard that, and kissed me on the face, as he was in a bath," Grohl said. "He was so excited. He was like, 'I heard you recorded some stuff with Barrett [Jones].' I was like, 'Yeah.' He was like, 'Let me hear it.' I was too afraid to be in the same room as he listened to it."

    Lana Del Rey will hit the road in May for the Endless Summer Tour in support of her newest album "Ultraviolence," which came out in June. Courtney Love will join the "Born to Die" singer for the first half of the jaunt, with another opener slated to take over at the May 28 gig in Indiana — to be announced. Love is putting together a new solo record that is expected in 2015, "Consequence of Sound" reported.Rey's "Ultraviolence" made it to No. 1 on the "Billboard" 200 chart as well as the Top Tastemaker Albums list. The album, produced by The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, includes singles like "Shades of Cool," "West Coast" and the title track. It was met with generally positive reviews.Love dropped new songs "You Know My Name" and "Wedding Day" earlier this year. In 2013, the Hole frontwoman promised a new album before the new year. That never happened.

  • Bob Dylan Gives First Audio Interview in 10 Years for Showtime Documentary About the 'Basement Tapes' [LISTEN]

    A period of Bob Dylan's illustrious career has been revisited recently with two releases. Dylan put out "The Basement Tapes Complete: The Bootleg Series Vol. 11" and a supergroup comprised of Marcus Mumford, Jim James, Elvis Costello and others released "Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes." The former is centered around Dylan's 1966 sessions in Woodstock, New York, with The Band while the latter is made up of unfinished Dylan lyrics. In a recent Showtime documentary, the songwriter discussed the "Basement Tapes" in his first audio interview in 10 years, "Consequence of Sound" noted.Dylan says in the interview below that the Basement Tapes were a result of just hanging out with other musical minds."Oh ... y'know, beside this, kind of was gonna stay up in Woodstock for a while, so ... my band from the touring we had done together, those guys just came on up there, they liked it, too. And Robbie [Roberston] called me up one day and said, 'What's happenin'?' you know, 'What's happenin'?' and I said, 'Nuthin'.' He said, well he was in the mood for some nuthin' too."The songwriter gathered up 138 recordings for his new compilation, 30 of which were previously unreleased. He talked about the space that spawned those recordings, too.

    Lionel Richie is the first big name secured for Glastonbury's 2015 festival. The "All Night Long (All Night)" singer will perform during the event's Sunday afternoon slot, which is historically reserved for some of the most-respected names in music. Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen and Brian Wilson have all played Glastonbury's Sunday afternoon set. Dolly Parton had the honor last year, drawing an enormous crowd, "NME" noted. No headliners have been announced, and Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters have yet to receive a call about performing at the legendary festival."I'm really excited to play Glastonbury next year, as it's one of the most iconic festivals in the world," Richie told "The Guardian." "It has a phenomenal history and the alumni of artists who have previously played is incredible, so I'm honored to be joining that club. It will be a really special moment for me and I can't wait to share it with everyone. I can now say, 'Yes, I'm playing Glastonbury.'"Organizer Emily Eavis was ecstatic to book Richie, saying there will be "a lot of love" for the artist at Glastonbury.Earlier this month, Grohl suggested that Eavis contact his band to play the festival, but that call has not come yet."She hasn't called — I have not gotten the call yet," he said. "The Foo Fighters haven't been there since 1998, so er ... and that's a fun festival."Eavis seemed open to the idea when the frontman suggested it, though.

There are also rumblings of a possible tour for 2015. Thank the 1960s rock gods!During the interview, Ray touches on a variety of topics, including his brother, Dave, who he has been feuding with for most of his life. But it sounds like the two still make music together."Look, my brother is very intelligent. He's a good writer," Ray said about Dave, who played guitar for The Kinks. "We actually put down a few demos last Christmas. He came to see me, and he played me a couple of new songs."That means a tour, right?"I don't know about next year. I'm doing a studio album of my songs from my book "Americana," and I'm going to do a small tour. As for the Kinks, I have to talk to Dave," he added.

A pivotal moment during the episode revolved around some demo tapes featuring songs that would later become part of 1995's Foo Fighters ("Alone + Easy Target"). Grohl recorded the debut album in Seattle following Cobain's untimely death, but not before the iconic singer had heard the demo.

It sounds like there was some sort of miscommunication between the band's camp and an executive in charge of the parade.

    Out-spoken rocker Ted Nugent took to Twitter after a Ferguson grand jury decided not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of African American teenager Michael Brown. The "Stranglehold" singer took the side on Wilson, saying justice was served for the whole ordeal that took place in August. Other artists like Macklemore, Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry expressed their displeasure with the verdict previously.

Despite feuding between leaders Raekwon and RZA, the group managed to work out its problems and finish the album, releasing the singles "Ruckus in B Minor," "Ron O'Neal," "Keep Watch" and "Necklace" previously.

    Singer-songwriter Jimmy LaFave and Dallas entrepreneur Kelcy Warren opened their Music Road Records label in 2007, releasing the Woody Guthrie tribute album 'Ribbon of Highway Endless Skyway' the following year. The partnership led to a slew of other releases featuring original material but Warren had an itch to scratch. The co-founder's extreme fandom for one of the most prolific songwriters around sparked what would become the pair's second tribute effort: 'Looking Into You: A Tribute to Jackson Browne,' which came out in January. Artists like Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt and Don Henley came running.
