    Starting a streaming service in 2014-2015 is the new trendy thing to do it would appear. However, most companies that set to create a new app or technology that will revolutionize the music business start with their technology and platform and then work to secure the content. This has left others like TIDAL in trouble who have the infrastructure in place, but are still securing the content through various deals. A new service was launched today titled VuHaus by the most unlikely of candidates, public radio stations all across the United States. Unlike its counterparts, it starts with the content that comes daily from its radio affiliates all over the country and has built out the technology from there.

    Washington D.C., despite being a fertile ground with its regional styles of music like Go-Go, while also influencing punk and hip-hop, has not had many major, multi-day music festivals in the city. This is about to change in September with the inaugural Landmark Music Festival set to take over the National Mall. Headlined by Drake, The Strokes, Wale and Alt-J, the two-day event will feature some of the biggest names in music, while also attempting to raise funds and awareness to restore the nation's most visited park, the National Mall.

    One of the largest festivals in the world, Glastonbury, has announced the first wave of artists on the 2015 lineup. As one of the oldest and proudest festival institutions in the UK and internationally, Glasto prides itself on getting some of finest acts in the world and this year, in the first wave of artists alone they have accomplished just that. The June festival will be headlined by the likes of the Foo Fighters, Kanye West, Florence + The Machine, Pharrell, Alt-J, Lionel Richie, deadmau5, The Chemical Brothers, Motörhead, Alabama Shakes, Mary J. Blige and many more.

    Montreal's Osheaga Festival has announced its 2015 lineup, and it is a big one. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the festival will welcome headlining acts Florence + The Machine, Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys, Weezer, Alt-J, Of Monsters and Men, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Nas, Kygo, Interpol and others to Parc Jean-Drapeau, east of downtown Montreal on the St. Lawrence River. The three-day festival will host a wide variety of different acts from hip-hop to rock to indie and EDM with more than 100 acts announced to perform.
