    On Wednesday night (Sept. 30), PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) celebrated its 35th anniversary at a star-studded gala that included a special, one-hour performance from Beatles alum and noted animal rights activist Sir Paul McCartney. As if that wasn't enough for those in attendance, fellow legendary rocker Beck joined McCartney on stage for performances of the classic tracks "Drive My Car" and "I've Just Seen a Face."

One of six shorts included in the project, Khan's celluloid vision explores "modern love" in a way that the singer-songwriter described as "very countryside, weird, English, surreal" in a recent interview with Pitchfork.

    Taylor Swift is running out of Top 40 artists to bring on stage with her during her 1989 World Tour, so she's going indie. On Tuesday night (Aug. 25) during her four night run at Los Angeles' Staples Center, the "Bad Blood" singer brought out Beck and St. Vincent to perform the alt-rocker's new single "Dreams." Swift also teamed up with John Legend for a stunning rendition of his biggest hit.

The duo of Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands have been instrumental in pioneering big beat electronic music and bringing it to pop, notably in the UK with five number one albums. Following up their 2010 LP, Further, the pair breaks up the longest spell of their career without releasing a studio album with Born In Echoes. The LP will feature the likes of St. Vincent, Beck and Q-Tip. To go with the album announcement, they have released the lead single from the LP titled "Sometimes I Feel So Deserted."

April 13 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Grammy ceremony where the band won a trophy and Music Times is marking the occasion by counting down the five years in which the greatest band in popular music history managed to land a win, going from "fewest wins" to most (ties will be broken by taking the "winning percentage" based on nominations).
