    Blake Shelton showed off his acting chops over the weekend as host and musical guest of Saturday Night Live, and now, he's making his move into film. According to The Wrap, the country music star and Voice coach has been cast in Adam Sandler's upcoming film Ridiculous 6, a Happy Madison production that marks Sandler's first film under his new deal with Netflix.

    Blake Shelton pulled double duty on last night's Jan. 24 episode of "Saturday Night Live." The host performed in a few sketches that poked fun at his country side, "The Bachelor" and his coaching gig on "The Voice" before taking the stage to perform "Neon Light" from last year's "Bringing Back the Sunshine." Shelton, one of the more humorous celebrities on the NBC singing show, was a good sport with all the jokes.

The game's big reveal was that Shelton has no clue who Benedict Cumberbatch is.

    Today the Recording Academy confirmed that LL Cool J will be the host at The Grammys when they go down on February 8.     The good people at Red Frog Events, who put on the Firefly Festival every year, are getting a little country in 2015. The company announced the Big Barrel Country Music Festival today, Dec. 18, which will be held at Firefly's site, Dover International Speedway in Delaware. Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert will headline the event scheduled for June 26 to 28 — the weekend after Firefly. Tickets go on sale today, "Billboard" notes.For a three-day pass ($99), concert-goers will be able to see a mix of popular country artists and acts on the fringes of the genre, like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sturgill Simpson and Hurray for the Riff Raff.
