• Electric Zoo, Spring Awakening, Mamby on the Beach Lineups Leaked via SFX Court Documents

Following filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, SFX Entertainment, the media conglomerate behind live EDM events like TomorrowWorld, is undergoing massive reconstruction, which means lots of time spent with lawyers. The latest court documents to surface from those legal proceedings inadvertently leaked partial lineups for the 2016 editions of Electric Zoo, Spring Awakening Festival and Mamby on the Beach.
  • Crystal Castles Announce New Album, Tour Dates

Producer Ethan Kath was left on his own until he found her replacement, Edith Frances and with the band back to two members they are gearing up to release the group's fourth album at some point this spring.

  • Albums Sequels That Worked: Led Zeppelin, Lil Wayne, Future and More

The average blockbuster is hardly an original concept...everybody knows that the big money lies in sequels, such as the newly announced follow-up to Jurassic World, or the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious series. Granted, most of the time these films rarely end up being better than the original franchise. Although Furious 7 bucks the trend (the films actually got progressively better thanks to more and more absurd stunts and car chases), many questioned the need for the reintroduction to the Jurassic Park universe, especially after the last two sequels fell flat with critics (then again...all three of the follow-ups to the classic original have been box office smashes...so we're all to blame). Albums often work the same way, but occasionally the later chapters outshine the originals, or at least match them. Here are six albums that were better than the preceding ones with similar titles.
  • Alice Glass Releases New Single 'Stillbirth'

Alice Glass recently shared her debut single as a solo artist titled "Stillbirth" via Soundcloud. The first track to be released since her split from Crystal Castles, her latest song marks a new chapter in the former front woman's career. Admittedly inspired by her survival from an abusive relationship, her new song is emotionally raw and wrought with well-crafted dissonance.
  • Apple Music Might Destroy Your iTunes Catalogue; Fix Available

Apple Music is the hot new thing in music streaming, especially if you're hopelessly devoted to products marketed by the computer company or if you really need to stream Taylor Swift's '1989' because you just won't buy it. Unfortunately for many converts to Apple Music, especially those who have preexisting iTunes accounts with the company, a multitude of problems have emerged surrounding the service.
  • Crystal Castles Share New Single 'Deicide' From Upcoming Album

Crystal Castles has unveiled a new song "Deicide," which is slated to appear on the group's upcoming album. After the messy breakup of the popular indie-electronic group last year, producer Ethan Kath has kept the Crystal Castles banner flying and brought on a new singer by the name Edith. The new tune starts out very ambient, before building into a late 1990s, early 2000s, Euro rave type of track with the soft vocals of Edith gently sitting on top.
  • Alice Glass Responds To Crystal Castles' Ethan Kath Underhanded Remarks

Last October, news broke that Alice Glass had left the experimental electronic duo, Crystal Castles, leaving many fans to wonder if they were done for good. On Friday, Ethan Kath, the producer and remaining member released a new song under the guise of Crystal Castles on soundcloud titled "Frail" that got fans excited not only because it was new music, but also it confirmed that there was a future for the band. He stirred up controversy with a now deleted comment that undermined the contribution of Glass over her time as a member in Crystal Castles. Not too long after, she responded in a series of tweets validating her position in the duo and using the comment to reinforce why she left.
  • Ethan Kath Releases Crystal Castles Song 'Frail' Despite Alice Glass Leaving Band [LISTEN]

Ethan Kath has released a new track under the moniker of "Crystal Castles," confirming that although Alice Glass has left the duo, the band will live on. The track is titled "Frail" and features female vocals, although Pitchfork has clarified that, despite sounding somewhat like the former frontwoman, it's not Glass. The vocalist has not been identified as of yet, so we can only hypothesize what Kath and Castles plans on doing for future music and on the road.
