• Jay Z/Nas, Tupac / Notorious B.I.G.: The Best Hip-Hop Diss Tracks Ever

The hottest story in hip-hop for the last week has been Meek Mill's allegations that Drake uses a ghostwriter, and the Toronto rapper turned up the heat by releasing "Charged Up," a perceived diss track aimed at his accuser. Responses to Drake's release have been fairly positive, at least from fans (Mill himself hasn't responded to the track yet) but Drizzy has a while to go in terms of both attitude and wordplay if he wants to land on the list of the greatest diss tracks ever. Here are five examples, from the Nas/Jay Z beef to the Tupac Shakur/Notorious B.I.G. beef that set a high bar for vitriol.
  • Funk Flex Has More Drake Reference Tracks from Ghostwriter Quentin Miller

Quentin Miller's recent tumblr post, in which he denies that he ghostwrites for Drake isn't good enough for Funk Flex, who leaked the first "10 Bands" "reference track." Now Flex says he's gotten his hands on more of Miller's reference tracks that supposedly inspired Drake's If You're Reading This Its Too Late. The HOT 97 DJ does not want to let Drizzy off the hook.
  • Lupe Fiasco Adds Perspective To Meek Mill, Drake Ghostwriting Feud

After Meek Mill called out Drake for allegedly not writing his own verse on the Dreams Worth More Than Money track R.I.C.O., rappers from all across hip-hop decided to add their two cents on the ordeal. Lupe Fiasco has written a lengthy piece on his Instagram, giving on perspective on the practice of "ghostwriting," trying to make it clear that things are not so black and white when it comes to writing rhymes.
  • Safaree "SB" Responds to Meek Mill, Says Nicki Minaj Isn't Over Him

Before calling out Drake, Meek Mill's Twitter tirade began with a shot toward Safaree Samuels, aka "SB," Nicki Minaj's ex-boyfriend. Though Drizzy has kept quiet, just got involved by subtweeting at Nicki, telling her to show Meek, her current man, an incriminating email she sent SB on his birthday.
  • Noah "40" Shebib Defends Drake Against Meek Mill Ghostwriter Accusations

The controversy over whether or not Drake writes his own raps has sparked a debate across hip-hop about the use of ghostwriters and songwriters in general within the genre. Artists have weighed in on both sides of the argument, most notably Meek Mill who kicked off the debate in addition to OG Maco, Rick Ross and others. Now Drake's close friend and collaborator Noah "40" Shebib has weighed in and defended the Toronto rapper vehemently, saying "No one is as talented as Drake."
  • OG Maco & Boi-1da Clash Amid Meek Mill Vs. Drake Twitter Beef

Once again, OG Maco is back causing a stir on Twitter -- this time, by chiming in on Meek Mill vs. Drake, which is already being crowned the "Twitter Beef of 2015" (and we haven't even heard from Drizzy). The ATL rapper first pledged his support for Meek, and then added a little more to the conversation. Soon, OVO producer Boi-1da got involved, and, "U Guessed It," they had a nice little back-and-forth. It's been a good day on Rap Twitter.
  • Meek Mill Responds to Toronto City Councillor Amid Drake Beef

The hip-hop world has been turned on its head when Meek Mill seemingly out of nowhere called out Drake for allegedly having people write his raps. The fallout has been seen all across the twitterverse and throughout the hip-hop community and even spilled over into politics. One Toronto city councillor, possibly just looking to take the populist approach and get a few headlines for his poll numbers, told Meek Mill that he was no longer allowed up in Toronto. Mill got word of his potential ban to the Canadian city and fired back at the Toronto government official citing his free speech.
