Pulling double-duty on Saturday Night Live has become a trend for artists who can both sing and act. Following Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, Drake will be the next in line to serve both SNL roles simultaneously. The announcement was made on this weekend's show that Drake will take over the January 18, 2014 episode. -

Last night Drake and Kanye West hit a Yeezus afterparty together, where they rapped to each other's songs. West donning a Toronto hockey jersey, swung from the ceiling at one point as "Blood on the Leaves" played. Music Times, like so many other music publications, was looking to publish a "Best of 2013" playlist. We met to discuss what such a playlist should include, and that's where we ran into trouble. We couldn't agree. Sometimes two of us just couldn't agree on whether the performer was amazing or terrible, and even when we agreed they were amazing, we couldn't agree on what track was most representative of their work. Hence it was decided that rather than try to agree (a seemingly impossible endeavor), everyone would get their own "favorites of 2013" playlist. We won't argue that these are neccesarily the best tracks of the last year, but they're definitely songs that caught our respective attention and caused us to hit 'repeat" over and over and over again -
Drake sued by Chicago promoter over cancelled shows
Drake may soon discover that one of the downsides that comes with a meteoric rise in popularity is the need for better bookkeeping. A Chicago concert promoter is suing the rapper and his OVO Touring company, alleging that they made off with more than $200,000 without staging a show at all. -
Drake drops Grammy Nominations Concert at last moment
Rapper Drake won't be making his scheduled appearance at the Grammy nominations concert in Los Angeles tonight, as was previously announced. A spokesperson for the rapper cited "scheduling complications." -
