Today in big stories with few credible sources: the casting wish list for the film adaptation of the hit musical Wicked. British newspapers The Sun and The Guardian have both released stories featuring quotes from unverified sources that suggest Lea Michele is the ideal choice for the young "Wicked Witch" Elphaba, and One Direction's Harry Styles would play her boyfriend Fiyero. -
Pharrell Williams and 'Happy' top 400,000 downloads again, Jason Derulo and Katy Perry struggle to keep up
The Billboard 200 was awash with debut albums this week, but things largely remained the same over on the Digital Downloads chart. Although every track in the Top 10 is the same as last week, there was some shuffling. -

Queen Elsa continues her musical reign. On Sunday night (March 2), the signature song from the new Disney animated classic Frozen took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song, beating out songs from some of music's most prolific artists. -

Pharrell Williams "Happy" to top Digital Downloads chart, Katy Perry falls, Jason Derulo rises
Things are looking optimistic for America, as Pharrell Williams' track "Happy" rose to the top of the Billboard Digital Downloads chart last week (not that a song named "Sad" was ever at the top). Williams got a continued boost from radio play, Beats commercials, DVD sales of Despicable Me 2, The NBA All-Star Game...just about everything. The track jumped 31 percent in sales and moved 329,000. -
U2, Karen O added to Oscars lineup: all four Best Original Song nominees will perform
All four of this year's Best Original Song Academy Awards nominees will be getting their stage time at this year's Oscars ceremony. Yesterday (Feb. 12), it was announced that U2 were added to the show's bill and today (Feb. 13), it was also revealed that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O will also take the stage. -
Katy Perry tops Digital Downloads chart for fifth week with 'Dark Horse,' but Pharrell Williams and 'Happy' approacheth

Just last week were commenting on how songs have a tendency to hold the top spot of the Billboard Digital Downloads chart for two weeks, but almost as soon as we said it, a song held on for a third week at no. 1.
