• Oscar Best Original Song Shortlist: Coldplay, Lorde, Lana Del Rey Included

The Golden Globes listed five nominations for Best Original Song earlier this week, and the Academy Awards have now followed suit with a "short list" of 79 songs up for the same title. The Globe will be decided on the night of Jan. 11, but the Oscars don't take place until Feb. 22, so there's still a full month before that lengthy selection of songs gets pared down to five.
  • Luke Bryan Top Jukebox Artist of 2014 According to TouchTunes; AC/DC, Eric Church and Lynyrd Skynyrd Right Behind

The bar crowd has spoken: Luke Bryan is the undisputed jukebox champion of 2014. TouchTunes, which supplies establishments with digital music machines, announced its most-played artists and songs recently, and the Crash My Party singer is at the top on the list. • Lorde Shares Clip Of Old Song 'Lost Boys' Cut From 'Pure Heroine' [LISTEN]

Lorde is currently hard at work (we hope) on her new album, but today (December 10) the 18-year-old Kiwi pop star shared a clip of a song through her Tumblr that she probably won't be releasing officially any time soon. The song, titled "Lost Boys," was written and recorded in 2013 for her debut album "Pure Heroine," but was ultimately cut from the album because "it was not a good song," at least according to Lorde.

  • Lorde Admits She Likes to 'Trawl the Inorganics'

One of the biggest teen stars in the world, Lorde is about as recognizable as any major musician worldwide. At 18, however, she is barely out of high school and still in the prime of her youth. With that youth comes some odd tendencies that one might expect from a teenager regardless of whether or not they are in the spotlight 24/7. In an interview with "Stella" — the British newspaper "The Telegraph's" weekly edition — the "Royals" star reveals that she likes to go sifting through other people's trash for useful items. The interview also goes on to discuss "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and her first time in contact with Jennifer Lawrence, who on the set "totally fanned out" when she saw Lorde. She also discusses how she handles her image as a teenage girl pop star and why she eschews the red carpet, but the most interesting caveat is how she takes part in a New Zealand recycling/reuse initiative where each year everyone clears out old junk they are no longer using, like cabinets, cloths, TVs, etc., and puts them out on the street for others to take.It is then shipped off to a landfill, but before that people go through other people's trash and potentially find their own treasures. One of those individuals trawling the trash is Lorde.Lorde describes her passion for going out on the hunt:"See, I'm boring because my favorite thing to do is trawl the inorganics. Do you have inorganics here?"
