Magic!, Kiesza and Death From Above 1979 Win at Canadian Radio Music Awards
Magic! and its hit "Rude" has fallen far from the American Billboard Hot 100 at this point but at least one nation, Canada, hasn't forgotten the group. The reggae-influenced pop group took home three awards at the Canadian Radio Music Awards on Friday. The band won for Best New Group or Artist Adult Contemporary and Fans Choice, as well as SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) Song of The Year for its single, which went to no. 1 up north (as well as in the United States). -
Juno Award Nominations 2015: MAGIC!, Kiesza & Leonard Cohen Lead Best-Of Canadian Music
Awards season is in full swing for 2015, and Canada is no exception. Today (Jan. 27), just a few weeks before the Grammys the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced its nominations for the 2015 Juno Awards and it's going to be a "Rude" year. Chart-toppers MAGIC! lead the nominations with five nods, with Leonard Cohen and Kiesza following closely in tow with four nods apiece. -

Today (Dec. 8), iTunes announced its top-selling songs and albums of the year, and Despicable Me 2's "Happy" by Pharrell Williams and the soundtrack to Disney's Frozen lead the pack, clocking bigger numbers than Taylor Swift's 1989 and mega-hits from John Legend, Katy Perry and Meghan Trainor. -

The biggest party night of the year just got a little bit better.
