Ozzy Osbourne Cancels Mexican Ozzfiesta Due to Unspecified Surgery; Will Still Play Monsters of Rock Dates
Ozzy Osbourne fans and early vacationers were disappointed to learn that the vocalist had cancelled his Ozzfiesta event at Riviera Maya in Mexico due to an unspecified surgery. Cool Breeze, promoters for the event, posted an announcement on the gig's site indicating that Osbourne would undergo the mystery treatment following his May 2 concert at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Buenos Aires and would require at least four weeks to recover, thus leading to the cancellation of the May 27 Ozzfiesta. -
'Decline of Western Civilization' Box Set Due Out in June: Collection Features All Three Classic Docs
It has been nearly 20 years since the last installment of the Penelope Spheeris trilogy The 'Decline of Western Civilization' hit theaters. Fans of the stunning documentaries will be able to buy all three in June as a box set when they are released, officially, for the first time on Blu-ray and DVD, 'Rolling Stone' reported. Bonus features for the classic docs will include high-res restoration, previously unseen interviews and commentary by Dave Grohl. -

Last night's most Shazamed moments came during the halftime show (more on that later) but outside of that it looked like New York songwriter Marc Scibilia induced the most curiosity with his rendition of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" featured during a Jeep commercial. -
Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler Arrested After Drunken Bar Fight in California
Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler is as feisty as ever. The musician was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 27, after getting into a drunken bar fight in California. Police charged the 65-year-old with misdemeanor assault, public intoxication and vandalism. Butler was taken to jail and released after he detoxed and was cited, "Rolling Stone" noted. -

Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello and System of a Down's Serj Tankian joined forces to pay tribute to deceased Ozzy Osbourne axeman Randy Rhoads. The pair decided to lay down "Crazy Train," the anthemic single from Osbourne's debut solo effort "Blizzard of Ozz." The cover will be included on the new compilation "Immortal Randy Rhoads: The Ultimate Tribute" and features Rudy Sarzo, another Rhoads bandmate, and Vinny Appice, "Rolling Stone" notes. -

The sharp-tongued wife and manager of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne made it clear on Twitter that she was not happy about the album magically appearing in her iTunes. Now, though, Sharon is going back on her remarks because she met the band and they were "lovely," Blabbermouth notes.Sharon publicly apologized — sort of — yesterday, Jan. 12, on her CBS talk show "The Talk.""I've been caught badmouthing so many people — so many people — and one which was so humbling was ... I did it on the show ... I badmouthed U2 for giving their album away at Apple free. Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest and Motörhead to Tour After Monsters of Rock Festival in April
Some of heavy metal's biggest names are reportedly joining forces for a tour this spring. Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest and Motörhead have confirmed one date in Brazil directly following the Monsters of Rock Festival in April. According to the production company Hits Entretenimento, the three acts will hit the road on the Monsters Tour, Pollstar reports.Osbourne will headline the festival April 25 in addition to Motörhead, Black Veil Brides, Rival Sons, Coal Chamber and Primal Fear. Kiss is slated for the headline spot the following day with Manowar, Accept, Unisonic, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steel Panther. Judas Priest will join in on both days.The first date of the Monsters Tour is April 30 at Porto Alegre's Zequinha Stadium. No further dates have been announced.Previously, the Prince of Darkness has linked up with both acts. He shared the bill with Judas Priest at a concert in Canada in 2008. Lemmy and the boys joined Osbourne on the Blizzard of Ozz tour in the early 1980s, Ultimate Classic Rock notes. -

Myles Kennedy, Slash and Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil tore through Ozzy Osbourne's 1980 hit "Crazy Train" over the weekend at the MTV European Music Awards. Osbourne was there to receive the Global Icon Award, which has been given to such artists as Eminem, Queen and Whitney Houston in the past.
