The Seattle music scene has always had a special place in our hearts thanks to the whole grunge thing, and one of the studios behind some of the scene's biggest albums is in need of help restoring its classic Neve soundboard. The piece of equipment has had a role in countless albums, but standouts include Pearl Jam's Ten, 3 Doors Down's Away From The Sun, Soundgarden's Loud Love and Fleet Foxes' self-titled debut. -

Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam band members broke someone's nose at Big Day Out Festival
Playing a little bit of pick up basketball with members of Arcade Fire and Pearl Jam sounds like a dream come true for a lot of alternative music fans, but for one man at the Big Day Out Festival in Auckland, New Zealand, a quick game of shooting hoops ended in a major injury. -

Blur pulls out of Big Day Out via Facebook post, leaves fans and organizers baffled
We knew a guy back in the day that broke up with his girlfriend via Facebook. Not even a message, just changed his relationship status and let her figure it out. We gave him crap for months on end, and it was well-deserved. Blur may be in for similar treatment from concert organizers and Australian fans after they pulled out of Auckland's Big Day Out Festival by posting a message on their own Facebook page. Essentially, concert organizers found out at the same time we did. -
Matt Cameron touring with Pearl Jam versus Soundgarden for 2014; Band will find replacement for time being
As diehard grunge fans, we had hoped that the world would never come to this: Matt Cameron deciding whether he would tour with Soundgarden or Pearl Jam. Cameron, possibly the most relevant name that you've never heard of in the early '90s Seattle grunge movement, is a very relevant part of both bands. And it makes sense, as he was the best drummer in the scene (it wasn't Dave Grohl, with no offense to the Nirvana drummer). -

Can Miley Cyrus Catch a 'Lightning Bolt' on Charts?
Forgive us if we're bracing for next week; Katy Perry's Prism is set to drop and it could give Justin Timberlake's first 2013 release a run for the biggest opening frame of the year. Last week's Top 10 was still overrun by new albums however, so we should probably give them credit before Perry-pocalypse sets in.
