The 26th annual Tibet House Benefit Concert is scheduled to take over New York City's Carnegie Hall on February 22, 2016 and the initial lineup has just been announced. As usual, this coming year's lineup is pretty musically diverse including former Stooges frontman Iggy Pop, contemporary minimalist composer Philip Glass, funk and soul revival pioneer Sharon Jones, FKA Twigs, Basia Bulat and Dechen Shak-Dagsay and Helge van Dyk. -

His abilities as a producer to boot make him an ideal candidate, therefore, for adding exclusive new music for new Marvel film The Fantastic Four. The hip-hop figure debuted his new instrumental track, "Another Body," on his duo's Beats 1 Radio show this weekend. -

Founded by Philip Glass, Lisa Bielawa and Eleonor Sandresky in 1996, the MATA Young Composers Now! Festival strives to present emerging compositional talent sourced from across the globe. The 2015 edition at The Kitchen continues in that very tradition, featuring quite the varied array of exemplary young voices. So, with a nod to the spirit of MATA, itself, Classicalite has chosen three composers to speak with about that career-defining opportunity: a MATA Fest commission. First, we chat with Chinese composer Wang Lu, a 2014 Guggenheim composer and pianist whose work Urban Inventory opened on Tuesday--as part of the "Curiouser and Curiouser" program, featuring performances of Lu's work by Sweden's Curious Chamber Players. -

Yo Gotti Shares New Song '11/11' Produced by Infamous [LISTEN]
Yo Gotti's upcoming studio album "The Art of Hustle" was originally promised for release today, Nov. 11, but if that does not end up happening, at least we have a new leak from the album, appropriately titled "11/11," which you can check out below. The Infamous-produced song features an eerie beat reminiscent of minimalist composers such as Philip Glass or Steve Reich, so this does not quite sound like your typical hip-hop track.You can check out Yo Gotti's "11/11" here:The Art of Hustle will be Yo Gotti's seventh studio album overall, his first since 2013's "I Am."
