Thanks to Pitchfork, a number of confused New Yorkers are more aware of the pop star after a number of impromptu performances of his hit song "Papaoutai" around the city including Times Square and the subway.

Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire flip the track on its head with swirling horns and a halftime, swinging beat.

The second and often forgotten rapper on the remix Gilbere Forte was not in attendance.
