Gang of Four Announce New Album 'What Happens Next,' Share New Song 'Broken Talk' Featuring Alison Mosshart [LISTEN]
British post-punk legends Gang of Four have announced a new album titled "What Happens Next" — check out the cover above — set for release Feb. 24 through Metropolis Records, "Consequence of Sound" reports. The album will be the band's eighth overall, their first since 2011's "Content" and their first since the departure of lead singer and founding member Jon King, who has been replaced by John Sterry. This leaves guitarist Andy Gill as the sole original member left in the band.Along with a new line-up, "What Happens Next" will also feature a number of guest musicians, including several appearances from Kills and Dead Weather vocalist Alison Mosshart, who takes the lead on the album's first single "Broken Talk." The Dead Weather Premiere Riff-Heavy "Buzzkill(er)" With Vocals From Alison Mosshart [LISTEN]
As previously reported, The Dead Weather are releasing a series of two-song singles leading up to a 2015 album release. The first installment was released in January with "Open Up (That's Enough)" and "Rough Detective." White announced the follow-up singles, "Buzzkill(er)" and "It's Just Too Bad," back in July and has now premiered the former online. -

Two weeks ago, Jack White’s keyboardist Isaiah “Ikey” Owens tragically died from a heart attack, resulting in the cancellation of White’s tour dates in Mexico. Today, White revealed that his Dead Weather bandmate and Queens of the Stone Age keyboardist Dean Fertita would be filling in for Owens on his upcoming tour dates, "Consequence of Sound" reported.
