The most renowned guitar solos in rock history are soaring and highly melodic, like David Gilmour’s ethereal passages in “Comfortably Numb,” or the epic guitar duel between Don Felder and Joe Walsh at the end of “Hotel California”. Wayne Coyne announces solo record store tour, will sell Flaming Lips reissues inside chocolate skulls [SCHEDULE]
Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has announced a run of solo record store shows on the East Coast starting February 8 at New York City's Other Music, where he will sell early Lips reissues packaged inside a chocolate skull. Inside the candy package are "special Golden coins" that offer entrance to any of the Lips' headlining gigs. -
Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band Teams Up With The Flaming Lips on Late Show With David Letterman To Perform 'Cheshire Cat Cry'
Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band joined forces with the Flaming Lips last night on Late Show With David Letterman. The team performed "Cheshire Cat Cry" off Take Me to the Land of Hell. Ono shouted, "Stop the violence. Stop all wars!" intermittently between bouts of maniacal laughter. -
Moby and Wayne Coyne Release 'The Perfect Life' Music Video for Moby's Upcoming Album, 'Innocents'
Moby and Coyne joined forces for "The Perfect Life," which will appear on Moby's upcoming album "Innocents," due out Sept. 30. It is the second single off the album, and the process behind making the video was a bit bizarre.
