    If a musician is lucky enough to reach a wide audience, the best they can hope for is that their fans support them through any whims of experimentation and artistic growth. This worked great for the Beatles and Radiohead, but there are plenty of other musicians whose artistic peaks didn’t match their commercial peaks. Here are six artists whose best albums didn’t sell as well as their other albums.

    SPIN Magazine, one of our most trusted sources for music across many genres, has released its annual list of the best 50 albums of the year. Yes, it's a bit early (not going to give Britney Spears a fair shot guys?), but we're sure they're just trying to beat the holiday rush (you'll be able to check out Music Times' albums of the year list on December 23, and our staffers' respective playlists of the year on December 16). The top album is something you've definitely heard of, but may still come as a surprise.

    Kanye West fans, time to set your DVRs. The "Yeezus" rapper is expected to debut his new music video on Tuesday through a slightly unexpected medium... the daytime TV talk show "Ellen." The hardened rapper will stop by with America's favorite comedienne to premiere the clip for "Bound 2" on Nov. 19.

    There was enough hype for Kanye West's Yeezus when it debuted earlier this year, but it doesn't look like Yeezy is done with fans yet during 2013. The rapper announced during an extended interview on Los Angeles hip-hop station Power 106 that five unreleased tracks from the Yeezus recording sessions could see the light by the end of the year.

    Didn't manage to get tickets for Kanye West's upcoming "Yeezus" tour? Well, if you live in one of five lucky cities, you might be in luck. West announced on Saturday that the tour would be adding additional dates in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto (yes, that's five dates spread over three cities). Unfortunately, no new cities were added to the tour. Kendrick Lamar will open on all of the new dates.

    Kanye West broke the hearts of many a hip-hop fan when he opted not to tour in support of 2010's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," simply one of the best hip-hop albums in history. He toured with Jay Z in support of "Watch The Throne," but not the same thing. He won't hold out on fans for "Yeezus" however. It's been officially announced that West will embark on a 23-date trek beginning on October 19 in Seattle, and wrap the tour up on December 7 in Houston.

    It seems like an odd couple, but there are undeniable similarities between Kanye West and Trent Reznor, the boss at Nine Inch Nails. Both are renowned for masterminding and controlling all elements of their recordings, nitpicking to perfection. Both are notorious for their outspokenness. Some critics have suggested a Nine Inch Nails influence on "Yeezus," the dark and electronic album from West. He was honored to be considered alongside West, Reznor said, and commented on the pair's professional relationship.
