Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes' collaborative track "Señorita" took over the charts and radio stations in 2019 following its release. Still, the former Fifth Harmony member recently admitted that it's one of the songs she gets tired of listening to, and there was a deeper explanation of why she thinks that way.

The singer, who is set to release her new album C, XOXO, later this month, spoke with Complex in a cover story where she was asked if she ever gets tired of hearing her massive songs "Havana" and "Señorita."

The former X-Factor contestant gets candid and answers yes, but she wants to emphasize "Señorita" more. She says she is worried that the song will become so massive that it will be bigger than hers as an artist.

"I obviously love that they were so massive and successful. But it does get people attached to you in a certain light. I was in a really public relationship and as a woman, you're like, 'I don't want this couple thing to be my new identity,'" she explained.

Cabello and Mendes released the track in 2019 along with a sexy music video, which immediately garnered views and later resulted in fans speculating whether they were in a relationship.

In July of that year, several reports claimed that the two were spotted having dates on numerous occasions, and sources even claimed that they looked like a couple. They were later photographed kissing in Miami Beach.

She later told Elle: "This past year and a half was the first time I really experienced falling in love with another person. I think there is so much more depth to love when you know you are in it with another person."

When the pandemic started, the couple was quarantined together in Miami and was spotted taking quarantine walks around their neighborhood.

After years of a whirlwind romance, the couple released a joint statement in 2021 confirming that they had decided to end their romantic relationship but clarifying that they would continue to be best friends.

Fast-forward to 2023. They were spotted sharing a kiss at Coachella, which sparked reconciliation rumors. However, things didn't last, as a source told Entertainment Tonight that they attempted to rekindle their romance, but the timing wasn't right.
