During a live performance of O.T. Genasis' "CoCo," Busta Rhymes took the stage to join his The Conglomerate, signee but the 42-year-old rapper may have gone too hard as video footage hit the Web showing Busta face planting off the stage and bloodying his head.
As noted by TMZ, Busta made a surprise appearance in the wee hours of Friday morning at Webster Hall. The entertainment news site reports that he fell into the crowd after he slipped while leaning into the pit. Aside from a scrape on the top of his head, Busta seems to be doing well. He took to Twitter to assure fans he's in good condition. "We always will be on 10!! We just took 1 step 2 far off the stage and that was it!! S--t happens but I love it cause we live it!!," he tweeted.
Busta Rhymes clearly has no plans to turn down. Earlier this year, the "Break Ya Neck" rapper announced his departure from Cash Money Records. During an interview with Sway in the Morning, he said his decision to leave stemmed from creative differences and that there's no hard feelings between him and YMCMB.
"I was there for two years and the opportunity was a great opportunity at the time, because of the type of deal that was done," Busta explained. "For me, with this particular project and all of the sacrifice that went into it - recording the album for five years, I [lost] Chris Lighty making this album, I [lost] my father making this album - the s**t I was putting into this album, I'm not compromising my vision for it."
He went on to say things just weren't working out.
"So if I feel like if, in the slightest way, we ain't facilitating everything necessary for the vision to be seen and executed in the way I'm envisioning this s**t for the last five years, let me live and die in my own inequity."
