Gucci Mane had an extremely busy 2014, releasing 11 different projects in the form of albums and mixtapes (he released two last week). It's an impressive feat considering the Atlanta native is currently in prison. Mane is looking to keep up the hustle in 2015, dropping a mixtape, 1017 Mafia, a mere three days into the new year, XXL notes.
The rapper had some help on the latest effort, which can be streamed below or purchased on iTunes. Young Thug, Rich the Kid, Migos and Waka Flocka Flame make appearances along with a slew of other artists. As of publication time, it's been streamed nearly than 28,000 times.
Mane is serving time for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. He went behind bars this past summer, releasing Trap House 5, Trap God 3, Big Gucci Sosa and East Atlanta Santa from his cell. The rapper caught a break when a judge took a year off his sentence in September. He'll have to put out music from the big house this year, but 2016 will see Mane back in the free world.
Last month, Mane encouraged fans to write him in prison. He used the opportunity to outline his plans for the future.
"My idea is to take my career to the next level," he wrote. "I am planning to take my music to a higher level and use the attention and influence to sell movies, books, clothing and be a living testimony to all people showing that you can start from humble beginnings and transcend to something greater."
Trap House 4 hit 153 on the Billboard 200, 27 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and 15 on the Top Rap Albums charts.
