Miley Cyrus seems to have no end in sight for her Backyard Sessions to support and promote her newly founded LGBT and homeless youth charity The Happy Hippie Foundation. After releasing covers with the likes of Ariana Grande, Laura Jane Grace and Joan Jett, today (May 18), the Bangerz singer unveiled a duo of solo performances, with new takes on The Turtles' "Happy Together" and Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover." -
Opera Lafayette Premiering, Touring André Grétry's 'L’Épreuve Villageoise' ('The Village Trial') for 20th Anniversary Season
The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) and Opera Lafayette will perform the modern world premiere of 'L'épreuve Villageoise' ('The Village Trial'), presented in celebration of Lafayette's 20th anniversary season season on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. at FIAF's Florence Gould Hall. That Saturday, May 30, the production heads south to the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater for two shows at 2 and 7:30 p.m. -
Chinx Drugz Dead: Meek Mill, Travi$ Scott, Strap Release Tribute Song 'Miss My Dawgs' [LISTEN]
Yesterday, the hip-hop and music community at large woke up to the shocking and tragic news that up-and-coming New York rapper Chinx Drugz, real name Lionel Pickens, had been shot and killed in a drive-by-shooting. He had been shot multiple times in hit car in Queens at around 4 a.m. after finishing up a performance at Club Red Wolf in Brooklyn at around 2:30 a.m. Condolences and messages have been flying in from all across hip-hop on social media as artists try to cope with the news that one of their own was taken from them too soon. One of those who was most affected by the news was Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill, who put up an Instagram picture of him, Chinx and French Montana, the mentor for Pickens, with a long, personal noted attached. In addition to that pic, Meek Mill has also recorded and released a powerful tribute track to Chinx titled "Miss My Dawgs" featuring Travi$ Scott and Strap. -

Hangout Festival 2015 just wrapped up its third day last night and with a festival that included the likes of Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, Major Lazer, Beck and My Morning Jacket, there were surely going to be plenty of highlights for fans. Much of the festival was live streamed online and some of the sets were captured by individuals on the internet. One of the sets came from American bass don, Skrillex, which has hit the web in full and opens with his unreleased remix of GTA's recent track "Red Lips." -

BBMAs 2015: Kanye West Performs Fiery 'All Day,' 'Black Skinhead' & Censors Disapprove
The Billboard Music Awards 2015 invited some of the biggest names in pop music today to perform over their three hour broadcast including Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj and many more. The event culminated in Taylor Swift unsurprisingly winning biggest artist of the year and then a performance from Kanye West. Yeezy performed his recent single "All Day" and then the Yeezus track "Black Skinhead," but there was a catch. ABC decided to censor about half of Kanye's performance, rendering the broadcast of his fiery two-song set almost useless.
