Bobby Shmurda has been in jail for almost two months, but he claims the joint is not a bad time. "I get a lot of love in here," he told "Billboard," adding that it is "survival of the fittest." The 20-year-old rapper was booked for weapons possession, conspiracy, reckless endangerment and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in December, and could face up to 25 years in prison for his most serious charge -- conspiracy -- according to "Billboard." He even called the judge and district attorney "a bunch of haters." -
Missy Elliott Albums and Songs Get 2,500 Percent Sales Boost Following Super Bowl Halftime Performance
Katy Perry may have had the most watched Super Bowl Halftime Show ever but Missy Elliott was the real winner, as sales of her albums increased by more than 2,500 percent, according to Forbes. The three songs that the emcee performed as a medley—"Get Ur Freak On," "Work It" and "Lose Control"—also saw a combined 978 percent increase in singles sales. That translates to more than 71,000 downloads for those three songs alone. -

Man Dead Following Pre-Grammys Shooting Outside Los Angeles Club, Where Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Were Partying
One man was shot dead outside a pre-Grammys party in Los Angeles last night, Feb. 7, after a reported argument. According to TMZ, two men were involved in a dispute outside the Supperclub. The fight resulted in the shooting death of one man. An array of hip-hop talent was in the club, including Wiz Khalifa, Schoolboy Q, DJ Paul and Snoop Dogg. -
Grammys 2015: T.I. Predicts Iggy Azalea Will Win Best Rap Album Award
T.I. is no stranger to Grammy glory. The rapper took home the 2006 Best Rap Solo Performance for "What You Know" in addition to Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Justin Timberlake for "My Love." He was also part of the big group win in 2008 for "Swagga Like Us." This year, T.I. is predicting that his girl, Iggy Azalea, will take home the award for Best Rap Album because of the commercial success she has had thanks to the effort. Overall, though, the Atlanta rapper thinks there needs to be some changes so the hip-hop community is represented properly. -

Kanye West is known to have a serious demeanor and a god-like ego, but there are times when he hangs out with the rest of us. Last night, Feb. 7, in Los Angeles, as he was leaving the House of Blues after a performance by Big Sean and during which he was brought out alongside Meek Mill and J. Cole, Yeezy was approached by an aspiring rapper on the street hoping to get a chance to have his moment to impress West. Kanye obliged with young man and gave the aspiring rapper an unofficial tryout by spitting a few bars, all the while Justin Bieber taunted him in the background.
