• Moonshine Bandits Release 'Blacked Out' into Wrong Political Climate

    Society always celebrates the records that top the Billboard 200 album chart. Back of The Billboards is a Music Times weekly segment that looks at the opposite end: the new record that finished closest to the back of the Billboard 200 for the previous week. We hope to give a fighting chance to the bands you haven't heard of. This week we look at 'Blacked Out,' the new album from Moonshine Bandits, a duo that's been carrying the "hick-hop" flag for longer that many realize.

    Disclosure recently revealed the complete tracklist and collaborators who will appear on their highly anticipated sophomore album Caracal and now the duo have unveiled their plans to tour North America this fall. Guy and Howard Lawrence have announced their most ambitious takeover of the continent yet, with arena and large cap theater dates in cities like Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto, Los Angeles and Nashville.

    The death of Cecil the lion may have shocked the world but it is in fact another "animal" that truly faces certain death: the bassoonist. At least, that's what Bram van Sambeek would have you believe. In an effort by Bram van Sambeek to save the future of the bassoon in the orchestra, he has equated the declining popularity of the instrument to that of an animal going extinct. Van Sambeek calls his effort the "Save the Bassoon Fund."

  • 2 Shot After J. Cole, Big Sean Concert At PNC Bank Arts Center

    Last night New Jersey was treated to special night of hip-hop with J. Cole and Big Sean bringing their 2014 Forest Hills Drive joint tour with special guests YG, Jeremih and Bas, Cozz and Omen. Reports about the actual concert at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel were positive, but the night ended in violence for a few individuals outside of the venue. According to police reports, at least two people were shot after the show.

Mill was definitely the focal point, or butt, of the jokes when Drake took the stage.
