  • Jury Selection Begins in Trial of Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

Potential jurors first came face to face with Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in court this morning, Jan. 5. Within the next three days as many as 1,200 people will be called into federal court to be viewed as potential jurors. Only 12 jurors and six alternates are needed, but it will likely take a deep pool to find that many people have not already formed an opinion on Tsarnaev's involvement in the twin bombing and events shortly thereafter on April 15, 2013, which resulted in three deaths and injuries to 260 people.According to Yahoo News, Monday begins what will likely be a gruesome and difficult trial that will last for months. It was also only the second time in 18 months that Tsarnaev has seen the light of day."Appearing in court Monday morning for only the second time in 18 months, Tsarnaev, with a short beard and shaggy hair, was seated in front of the first 200 of 1,200 prospective jurors in the case who quietly stared at the suspected bomber as presiding Judge George O'Toole explained the selection process," said Yahoo."O'Toole told the jurors the trial is tentatively scheduled to begin Jan. 26 and is expected to last three to four months. As he spoke, Tsarnaev, who was dressed in khaki pants and dark sweater, stared mostly at the table, looking up occasionally at the judge and out towards the prospective jurors. He could be seen drumming his fingers on his chair underneath the table," said Yahoo.
  • Khloé Kardashian Insinuates That Kim Kardashian Is Already Pregnant

The trailer for the next season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" first aired last night, and in it we see Kim Kardashian actively trying to get pregnant again. It looks like her quest for a second child with Kanye West will be a major storyline on the reality show and, following the teaser, Khloé Kardashian shocked fans with a post on her official Instagram account that was also quickly deleted. The pic posted shows a positive pregnancy test and Khloé asks fans who they think is pregnant, with the choices being her, Kim or their 18-year-old step-sister Kendall Jenner. The answer here would at least appear to be pretty obvious. In recent weeks, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding Kim, and it has been widely reported that she was struggling to conceive. The star told her fans just last week that she is not pregnant.
  • In Spite of Scandal, Donald Trump Lets Us All Know How Cool He Still Thinks Bill Cosby Is on Premiere of 'Celebrity Apprentice'

Keshia Knight Pulliam found herself in the unenviable position of being the first person fired from "Celebrity Apprentice" last night, Jan. 4, and the reason she was cut so quickly is raising eyebrows this morning. The show was actually filmed in May 2014, several months before the sexual abuse scandal surrounding Bill Cosby would reignite and threaten to destroy his career. But it was because Pulliam did not call Cosby for a donation that she was ultimately fired and Donald Trump's support of the man was epic. The final few minutes in the boardroom were pretty awkward for everyone watching, as Trump grilled Pulliam on her choice not to reach out to Cosby."Did you call Bill?" Trump asked her."I did not," Pulliam said, crying. "I have not talked to Bill Cosby on the phone in I don't know how long. So for me to pick up the phone, having not talked to you for five years, except for when we run into each other for a Cosby event — I feel that's not my place to do.""I really believe, if you'd called that gentleman, he would've helped you, even if you hadn't spoken to him in years, because you were an amazing team with one of the most successful shows ever. So I think it would've been a very good call to make for charity. But you have to take responsibility. I think you agree with that," said Trump.
  • 'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Has Turned Herself in to Danbury Federal Prison to Begin Serving 15-Month Sentence

The first day of the next 15 months of Teresa Giudice's life has finally arrived. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star turned herself in to Danbury Federal Correctional Institution at around 3 a.m. this morning, Jan. 5, accompanied by her attorney, James J. Leonard Jr. Her husband, Joe Giudice, stayed behind with the couple's four children, no doubt one of the hardest days of their lives. When asked about Giudice's mindset this morning, Leonard claims his client actually was holding up well, all things considered. He told northjersey.com that Giudice was:"Very, very strong. Very, what I would say is, very anxious to get this thing started and very anxious to get it behind her. In all of my discussions with her, her singular focus has been on her four children. She's never talked about what is this gonna be like for me. Always her concern is with her children, not with herself. We worked it out with the prison. They wanted her to report at 3 a.m. We actually got to Danbury at about a quarter to 2. Then we went and found a diner and had something to eat. We just talked and then when we were done, we went to the prison."Leonard also said the prison staff was kind to Giudice and answered her questions about visitation and phone calls. No doubt this is the start of reality finally hitting the reality star and her kids as well. Her oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, has already shown some understandable emotional cracks, and this past weekend was tough on the 13-year-old.
  • AirAsia was Not Permitted to Fly Surabaya-to-Singapore Route on Day of Crash

As if a lost plane and over 120 missing passengers that have yet to be recovered isn't enough for AirAsia to have to handle, we're learning that the carrier could ultimately find itself in a lot of trouble or even have operations completely shuttered. The problem is that legally, AirAsia Indonesia didn't have permission to fly the Surabaya-to-Singapore route on the Sunday morning that Flight 8501 ultimately crashed into the Java Sea killing all on board.
  • Renuka Reddy Bankulla was the Anesthesiologist Involved in Joan Rivers Botched Procedure

The series of events leading up to the unexpected and untimely death of Joan Rivers are quite complicated, mainly because the staff at Yorkville Endoscopy Center have worked really hard to keep things as under wraps as possible. We have gotten the distinct impression that Melissa Rivers' legal team has been slowly but surely piecing things together themselves because very few details have been willingly handed over. The media has been all over this from the beginning because it has always seemed like malpractice was involved. Today we've learned that the anesthesiologist in that procedure room with Joan was a woman named Renuka Reddy Bankulla.
  • NYPD Officer's Turn Their Backs as Mayor De Blasio Eulogizes Officer Wenjian Liu

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is going to have a real uphill battle in regaining the trust and respect of the NYPD. Tensions between officers and City Hall appear to be at an all-time high in terms of strain and while there have been calls for civility towards the mayor, it seems the NYPD is still too angry to be anything more than disrespectful. On Sunday morning, the second officer assassinated while eating lunch in his patrol car in Brooklyn a few weeks ago was finally laid to rest but not without officers turning their backs, yet again, on the Mayor.
  • 'RHOA' Phaedra Parks Insists She Was Faithful to Apollo Nida, Will Always Love Him

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Phaedra Parks has been dealing with the fallout from her imploding marriage and then watching her husband Apollo Nida turn himself in to begin serving an eight-year prison term in just the last several months alone. She has had more than enough on her plate, not to mention a plethora of messy feelings to sort through when rumors made things even tougher.According to a variety of sources, not too long ago the gossip mill started buzzing with a story about Parks cheating on Nida. She has always tried to carry herself well, and that has been tricky while living her life under a microscope, and while there are many things Parks will not respond to, this allegation was different."It's very hard to be in the public eye, under such public scrutiny, have the type of trauma that I'm having in my personal life, and have it aired for everyone [to] make their own crazy suggestions. It was very troubling. For one moment, I broke my Southern belle code and whipped my purse around. If you're already at your breaking point because you really have so much on your plate and someone throws out such a ridiculous accusation, such as me cheating ...," she said."I believe in the sanctity of marriage. I have been a very faithful wife. I think I've been an excellent wife. I have two small children, and I'm raising my sons to respect women. It's ridiculous to think I would ever do anything inappropriate, and there has never been any documentation of any such thing," explained Parks in a recent "Access Hollywood" interview. She has also admitted to still loving Nida, in spite of everything.
  • Gia Giudice's Tweet Raises Concern Hours Before Her Mother Teresa Begins Prison Sentence

Can you imagine being 13 years old and knowing that you are about to lose your mother for 15 months because she has to report to prison? That is the position Gia Giudice is in now that her mother, Teresa Giudice, is hours away from turning herself in to a Connecticut prison camp. While Teresa was granted an extra three months of freedom so she could spend this holiday season with her kids, the time has come for her to pay for years of bank fraud and other financial crimes, and her oldest daughter is reportedly feeling the stress. On Saturday night, Jan. 3, Gia tweeted about not being able to sleep — it has since been deleted — because she had too much on her mind, and while she has always seemed like a tough kid, she certainly has a rough road ahead of her and she knows it. While "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has claimed that she always puts her kids first, her presence is not going to be felt for more than a year, and that could potentially leave a lot resting on Gia's shoulders.Joe Giudice is expected to take over all the family duties, but that sounds problematic, especially since he originally used his alcoholism as a way of getting out of doing federal time. Now we know he will do that federal time after Teresa is released, and we also know he has spent the majority of his time these last several months drinking and avoiding the stress at home. It is a mystery how he will clean himself up in order to morph into the role of a responsible father.
  • 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood's' Masika Tucker Has Split from Yung Berg Months After Violent Altercation

Masika Kalysha Tucker's relationship with Yung Berg has been under a microscope ever since the couple flew to NYC back in November to film the reunion show of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood. After the taping Tucker and Berg ended up having a physical altercation in their hotel room. He was charged with assault for choking her and after several days apart they reconciled. However, given the looks of things now it's pretty clear that the couple has called it quits.
  • Jamie Dornan Says 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is a Love Story

So many women will be running to the movie theaters on Feb. 13 to check out "Fifty Shades of Grey" primarily because of how hot the book series is. There is this immense hope that somehow the film adaptation will do the BDSM book enough justice to ensure that the rest of the trilogy also finds its' way to the big screen. The pressure is really on Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson to not only breathe life into the characters of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, but also to crank up the heat.
  • Bill Cosby to Play Three Shows This Week in Canada in Spite of Mixed Reactions

While Bill Cosby may be having a hard time keeping his career going in the states right now, he will be doing a few of his stand up shows in Canada later this week. Many U.S. venues have either canceled shows that they had previously booked with the fallen star or else he has scrapped some scheduled gigs at the last minute. The end result has been the same, ever since women started to come forward and accuse Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them, he hasn't been very marketable.
  • It Looks Like Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are Married

Could the rumors be true? Are Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis finally married? It's not like the buzz originated with some random source -- it was Kutcher himself that started the speculation by posting a photo on Facebook the other day wishing everyone a Happy New Year's. The kicker was that he signed it "love the Kutcher's".
  • 'RHONJ's' Teresa Giudice's Continued Lavish Lifestyle Sends the Message That She's Not Sorry for Fraudulent Crimes

Teresa Giudice is just hours away from turning herself in to begin serving a 15-month sentence at a Connecticut prison and the reality of her situation doesn't seem to have really sunk in yet. Not only does she appear to be in denial of what is literally right around the corner for her, but her social media postings indicate that she is still living the same lavish lifestyle that ultimately got her in trouble. Sources formerly close to "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star believe that she is sending completely the wrong message.

Kourtney Kardashian may be on social media gushing about how happy she is but sources say that behind the facade her life with Scott Disick is a real mess. Now that little Reign Aston Disick has arrived, Disick is simply unable to handle the mountain of pressure on him.
  • AirAsia Plane May Have Made a Successful Water Landing Only to Sink

While what happened to AirAsia Flight 8501 in its final minutes remains an official mystery, various theories are being pieced together and considered. • Former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo Is Dead at 82

Legendary New York political figure Mario Cuomo died Thursday, Jan. 1, of heart failure. Cuomo served three terms as the governor of New York and died not long after his son, Andrew Cuomo, was sworn in for a second term as governor. According to a statement released by his family, Cuomo died surrounded by family. The "New York Post" was one of the first outlets to announce the sad news, saying:"Cuomo, who had been ill for months, was 82, and his death came just hours after his son, Andrew, was inaugurated for a second term in his father's old job. Daughter Madeline Cuomo said her dad died in his Manhattan home at 5:15 p.m., and noted that those were 'his lucky numbers.'"I think he waited until after Andrew's swearing-in," she added."He had been receiving hospice care in his Sutton Place apartment, and the cause appeared related to recent heart troubles, sources said."Cuomo, during his heyday, was popular for his eloquence and ability to use his humble beginnings as a way to connect with people and then drive home his points in order to facilitate change. He was also dubbed the "Hamlet on the Hudson" because of his internal struggle over whether or not to run for president in the 1988 and '92 races. He backed out at the last minute in 1991, paving the way for a fairly unknown candidate named Bill Clinton to sneak in and grab the Democratic nomination.
  • Bravo Wants Cast to Sign Legally Binding Document to Avoid Violence at 'RHOA' Reunion

Fans of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" most definitely remember the last reunion show, especially for that moment when Porsha Williams got out of her chair and physically attacked Kenya Moore. Suddenly the Bravo staple went from a reality show to feeling like an old episode of Jerry Springer and you better believe that the execs are going to do everything in their power to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
  • Ferguson Protesters Pepper-Sprayed After Infiltrating STL Police Headquarters

We may have closed the book on 2014, but that does not mean the tension between Ferguson, Missouri, protesters and St. Louis, Missouri, police officers is over — not by any means. Instead, a group of 75 protesters proved last night, Dec. 31, 2014, that the racially charged divide is going to be an issue that follows us into this new year, 2015. The protesters served a literal eviction notice to St. Louis police officers late last night and many found themselves either pepper-sprayed or arrested. As part of their "March to the Arch" protest, several members of the group purposely went into the lobby of STL police headquarters and then proceeded to read off a list of demands and they posted hundreds of eviction notices on the outside of the building for alleged police brutality. Nineteen protesters were eventually arrested, primarily because they were laying in the middle of the road blocking the flow of traffic. The group had originally intended to occupy the area of the headquarters for four hours to commemorate how long Michael Brown lied dead in the street after being shot by Darren Wilson.
  • Sarah Jessica Parker Reteaming with HBO for New 'Divorce' Comedy

Is it time for Sarah Jessica Parker to return to the small screen on a regular basis? Well, 10 years after the popular "Sex and the City" ended its six-year run on HBO, Parker is ready to do television again. She is also close to inking a new deal that would bring her back to HBO, the pay channel that was home to "SATC."The show that has sparked Parker's interest in returning to television is a comedy called Divorce. According to "The Hollywood Reporter":"'Divorce' centers on a middle-aged woman (Parker), who, influenced by her two recently single friends, impulsively brings up the idea of divorce with her husband but then can't decide whether to actually go through with it — until her husband discovers the affair she's been having and calls the marriage off."Parker would not only star in the potential half-hour show, but she would also serve as an executive producer alongside Sharon Horgan, Paul Simms, Alison Benson and Aaron Kaplan. The project itself must be well-done for Parker to even consider doing it because, inevitably, her potential work here would be compared to that of "SATC."
  • Scott Disick Bought Bachelor Pad Worth $4 Million as Rumors of Split from Kourtney Kardashian Intensify

Is "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Scott Disick about to launch a new career as a house-flipper? That is what he is claiming after purchasing a Beverly Hills mansion worth an estimated $3.69 million. Since every other business venture Disick has tried to launch — probably for the benefit of reality TV cameras — has been short lived, it is more than a little hard to imagine that Kourtney Kardashian's baby daddy is serious about this. What seems a little more realistic is the possibility of this house being Disick's new crash pad when his relationship with Kardashian is a mess, which is usually. We already know that he partied heavily all the way through Kardashian's third pregnancy and she was posting a lot of things online that seemed to hint that a split was imminent before giving birth to baby boy Reign Aston last month. A few days after having their third child, Disick turned up wasted at a Hollywood lingerie party, proving that a new baby was not going to alter his ways.So the question, then, is whether or not Kardashian has decided to take care of the kids herself and has kicked her man to the curb yet again.
  • Jennifer Aniston Ignores the Rumors: 'We Know Our Truth'

It seems like Jennifer Aniston has gone through a major transformation, one not limited to the big screen. Sure, her performance in the indie flick "Cake" has won critical acclaim and the best actress nominations keep rolling in, but have you noticed how different Aniston sounds in her interviews? She has spent the last few months heavily promoting a few projects and her whole demeanor seems different. Gone is that sad creature whom Brad Pitt left and what has replaced her is a strong, centered woman, one who does not care about what the tabloids have to say about her.Aniston sat for an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" that will air this weekend, and in it she addresses her attitude shift when it comes to dealing with the overzealous press."I think I used to ... really, there was a period where I was hell-bent on saying, 'That's not true, that's not right, that's not fair.' And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back, and you realize, I think everyone knows it's all B.S. and like soap opera on paper. The main thing is to try to just keep refocusing back on what you know is true and what makes you guys happy and, you know, we know what our truth is. That's all just static," explained the actress. Before her recent media blitz, Aniston was plagued by rumors that she and fiance Justin Theroux have pulled the plug on their extended romance. Now after listening to this newly evolved woman, it seems more likely that she and Theroux have figured out how to make things actually work while under the celebrity spotlight and it might include keeping things extremely private.
  • All Ten Seasons of 'Friends' Now Available on Netflix

New Year's Day is here, and what better way to spend it than binge-watching a favorite new show or, better yet, an old one? Fans of "Friends" are no doubt hunkering down for a marathon today because the popular sitcom staple of the 1990s has begun streaming on Netflix. Not only has the SVOD company acquired all 10 seasons, but it also has several lost episodes that have never been seen anywhere before.Apparently, near the end of the series's original run, scenes were filmed that featured Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) actually giving romance a try. While producers eventually decided to keep them as platonic roommates, those alternate scenes exist and Netflix viewers will get to see them. It is not like the show has been completely under wraps since ending in 2004. It garnered an average 20 million viewers for each of the 10 years that it ran on NBC, meaning it has been golden in the land of syndication. TBS currently runs episodes nearly every day and so do several local affiliates across the country.

  • Khloé Kardashian Ran In to French Montana in Vegas After Describing Their Romance as 'Destructive'

Khloé Kardashian got the biggest surprise while hosting a bash at 1 Oak Nightclub in Las Vegas last night, Dec. 30. After catching headlines last week for admitting that she jumped into a romance with French Montana at a time when she was "lonely and destructive," Kardashian ran into her ex last night. It must have been an interesting moment when she first realized that Montana was just a few feet away!According to Hollywood Life, the former couple was seated tables apart for dinner and they acknowledged each other, but there was no reconnecting. In the past, even when they had called things off we have seen Kardashian and Montana gravitate toward one another. The fact that it did not happen at 1 Oak seems to indicate that they may really be finished for good.In recent weeks, she seems to have had a bit of a wake-up call, and instead of running from her feelings and mess, Kardashian is ready to face her demons, beginning with her pending divorce from Lamar Odom. She has just a few short weeks to either proceed with requesting a no-fault divorce or else her whole divorce petition could be dismissed. Montana was probably a good and fun distraction for a while, but now even Kardashian realizes it is crunch time.
