Disclosure (real names Guy and Howard Lawrence) has been quiet of late, but their meteoric rise over the past two years has been remarkable, coinciding with pop's convergence with deep house in the UK and to a degree in the United States. With the added spotlight, fame and resources, the "You & Me" producers have the ability expand their live event brand WILD LIFE to something greater then what it has been in the past — a one off show that features either just Disclosure or Guy and Howard and a few friends. They have announced a brand new WILD LIFE Festival this summer with the help of their friends UK soulful drum n bass group Rudimental. "Latch" singer Sam Smith, Wu-Tang Clan and George Ezra, will headline the festival. -

Ultra Music Festival is taking a deep dive underground in 2015. Traditionally it has reserved a stage for the old-school house and techno styles of electronic music for Carl Cox and his curated stage, with a smattering of other names across other stages away from the main stage. In 2015, Ultra is making a serious commitment to the underground, giving it two stages, Resistance and Carl Cox and Friends, which has not announced its lineup yet, but he will have to find some names outside those on the Resistance lineup. -

Travi$ Scott Announces 'Rodeo Tour' With Young Thug and Metro Boomin [FULL SCHEDULE]
Houston rapper, Travi$ Scott, real name Jacques Webster, recently announced that his long-anticipated album Rodeo would be arriving in March. To support the album, he's gearing up for a month-long, whirlwind tour across Noth America alongside frequent collaborator Young Thug and Metro Boomin. The trio will be headed out across the North America starting at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California, before hitting cities like Chicago, Toronto, New York City, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles. The tour will be anchored by three days at SXSW for three days at venues still to be determined. -

Calvin Harris has become a successful artist not just in the EDM space, where he has dominated in his own right, but also on the radio, where label executives and A&Rs have clamored for Calvin-Harris-type, dance-pop, crossover hits. That success has led Harris to lofty sales, notably for singles, and a new achievement has just been given to the "Blame" artist -- or at least was supposed to be given to him. Calvin Harris went double platinum for his hit single "Sweet Nothing, featuring the ethereal vocals of Florence Welch of Florence & The Machine, but the plaque was delivered to the wrong address. Deadmau5 took to his favorite medium of communication, social media, to let Calvin know that he had some hardware waiting for him, via "Mixmag." -
Lil Wayne Reportedly Wants To Take Drake and Nicki Minaj Off Cash Money With Him
It is not secret that Lil Wayne wants off Cash Money Records, the joint partner with his label Young Money for the YMCMB, but according to reports he does not want to make the move alone. According to a TMZ report, as Lil Wayne wants to keep his whole roster of artists together on Young Money, which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, Christina Milian, Tyga, Lil Twist and Mack Maine, the president of Young Money. The "Start A Fire" rapper is prepared to sue Birdman to do so after already, reportedly filing a lawsuit to get the $8 million advance on Tha Carter V back as the album has not been released as of yet. -
Riot Police Called on YG and Ty Dolla $ign Concert in Sydney
Australia Day got a little out of hand for a few people in Sydney Monday night, Jan. 26. Ty Dolla $ign and YG were performing the fourth show in Sydney on their joint Australia-New Zealand, five-date concert tour when an incident allegedly occurred that led to an ugly brawl outside the venue. Taking place on Australia Day, the show at the Enmore Theatre should have been filled with patriotic cheer and good times, but instead the riot police had to be called into to break up a fight. -
SFX Announces Shake Up of Executive Staff
Dance music conglomerate SFX Entertainment, which owns or have majority stake in companies globally like ID&T, Beatport and Made Event has announced a shake up at the top of the executive food chain. This was expected after a November 2014 investors call revealed that the company was going to do an internal evaluation to see where changes needed to be made and where any overlap lied. The major shakeup lays in the marketing and rewards platform Viggle and a move to consolidate positions with executives at both firms. -

One of the most talked about ideas from Joel Zimmerman was a 20-minute live edit of his beloved song "Strobe," which he would premiere at the venue. -

Big Sean took over social media and the internet as a whole outside of the panicked Northeastern United States when he started cryptically posting on twitter and Instagram about a project Dark Sky Paradise, noting it was "done." He also managed to get a slew of other artists like Drake, Kanye West, Travi$ Scott, Jhené Aiko, DJ Mustard and others to post the same picture on their Instagrams as well. The "IDFWU" rapper continues the steady stream of information and has posted a link to his website that includes a trailer and release date. He also revealed on Twitter that new music was coming this week. -

The Winter X Games have been ramping their effort to court 18-25 year olds and in the past few years the winter sporting event has tapped into the growing popularity of electronic music to try and reach the youth of America. In 2014 ESPN, the host of the X Games, tabbed international star DJs, Tiësto and Axwell to perform alongside traditional draws Phoenix and Matt & Kim. The Las Vegas arms race is heating up with strip veteran Wynn Las Vegas announcing its complete artist roster for 2015. A few names have already trickled out so far this year, with Kaskade making a big announcement of his homecoming to Wynn for a multi-year residency, and a report on Calvin Harris's new residency at Hakkasan by "Askmen" revealed Avicii's intentions to return to Wynn and at a higher price tag then Harris's reported $400,000 per gig. The Vegas nightlife brand, which owns XS Nightclub, Surrender, Tryst and Encore Beach Club, has brought in top-flight acts like Diplo, Skrillex, Laidback Luke, David Guetta, Zedd and others. -

Tyga Being Sued By Former Manager
Young Money rapper, Tyga, is being sued by his former manager. According to a TMZ report, his former management company, C&J Management, is suing Tyga to the tune of $4 million. The claim is that he illegally fired them in 2013 and hired new management. C&J Management claims they were instrumental in creating the star that Tyga has become today saying they "turned him form a relative nobody to a world known superstar." They introduced him to Cash Money, so there may be some weight behind the accusations, but these lawsuits are always incredibly difficult to prove. -
Kid Cudi Talks Deleted Man-On-Man Make Out Scenes in 'James White' Film
Kid Cudi made another big step in his acting career with the new role he played in the film "James White," which was premiered during the second day of the Sundance Festival. His role during the film was different from what Scott Mescudi has done in the past, starring as the gay best friend of the protagonist, James White, who is played by Christopher Abbot ("Girls"). Playing that role, Kid Cudi had some scenes which forced him to broaden his horizons, including kissing a male friend played by David Call. The scenes were cut from the film and Cudi only found that out when he saw the premiere. -
Lil Wayne and Migos Unveil "Amazing Amy" After 'SFTW2' Release Ahead of 'Tha Carter V'
The Lil Wayne and Migos collaboration that fans have been waiting for some time now has found its way onto the internet. Titled "Amazing Amy," seemingly after the book series "Amazing Amy," which was adapted into the film Gone Girl, Migos and Lil Wayne have unveiled the track they recorded during the studio time they spent together. What appears to be a leftover track from "Sorry for the Wait 2," "Amazing Amy" sees all four rappers take their turn at a verse, riffing hard on the theme of Amazing Amy and supposed crazy women. As a potential candidate for "SFTW2," Weezy references the mixtape in the chorus, but does not make any mention of "Tha Carter V" and manages to hold back any disses that might be directed at Birdman. -
Simon Cowell's DJ Competition Show Will Premiere on Yahoo
Simon Cowell's DJ competition reality show appears to have a home. It will premiere on Yahoo's online streaming platform Yahoo Screen, which made a large jump into the music sphere with an announced partnership with Live Nation to stream a concert a day live via the platform. Yahoo plans to premiere the weekly show, tentatively titled "Ultimate DJ," from the "American Idol" and "X-Factor" producer that will pit electronic dance music DJs against each other in a reality show where they will compete to be voted the best one. -

According to reports, EDM megastar Calvin Harris & Las Vegas nightlife brand Hakkasan Group are expected to announce a deal very soon that will lock the "Blame" producer in for reportedly three years and will net Harris $400,000 a gig. Calvin Harris is currently a resident at Hakkasan and was the DJ there on New Year's Eve, where you could have gotten a table for $500,000. Harris will also be reportedly playing shows at Hakkasan and Omnia Nightclub, the newly opened club in the Caesars Palace, which boasts a DJ roster of Afrojack, Armin van Buuren and Martin Garrix. -
