Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar Spotted in Studio Together
Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg are hard at work on their own respective albums, and it appears there may be some collaboration being done between them. Snoop Dogg posted on his Instagram a simple photo of him and fellow West Coast representative K. Dot in the studio with the caption "Work." It is not clear what they are working on, but speculation says it could be a feature on Snoop's upcoming album "Bush" that is being produced by Pharrell. -
deadmau5 Unveils Plans for Purracan Lamborghini
Deadmau5 has a penchant for nice cars. Whether it is his recent Mclaren P1 or a Porsche he had for driving around Toronto, the Canadian producer caught the bug for sports cars and does not appear to be giving it up anytime soon. He announced on Twitter that he is now acquiring a new Lamborghini, the Huracan LP 610-4 and will be fitting it with his favorite car design: the bright and bold colors of Nyan Cat, dubbing it a "Purracan." -

Over the past week, Richard D. James -- better known as Aphex Twin -- has unloaded a treasure trove of previously unheard music onto SoundCloud under the username "user48736353001." In total, 110 demo songs were eventually uploaded to the account, and James has made them available for free download for a limited time only. Through the user, he left the following note via "Resident Advisor," "***hello humans, hopefully im gonna start making all these tracks downloadable from 6pm next Saturday 7th Feb, [if I can find some internets] - user48736353001." -

Insomniac's Beyond Wonderland has announced its 2015 lineup. The southern California electronic music festival is bringing together a wide variety of different sub-genres, with an emphasis on the underground. The two-day festival will be headlined by your big names like Tiësto, Hardwell, Knife Party, Carl Cox and Dillon Francis. Insomniac will feature their two signature stages -- the Discovery project for new and upcoming acts and the Bassrush Experience for all things low-end. Carl Cox will also be curating his own Carl Cox & Friends stage that has become a mainstay at festivals around the world, including Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival and Tomorrowland. -

Spotify and Sony Partner With Playstation To Launch Playstation Music
Spotify and Sony have teamed up with gaming giant, Playstation to launch Playstation Music. Playstation Network users will be able to link their Spotify accounts to their current accounts with their consoles. Users can import their current Spotify settings, including favorite artists, playlists etc., onto their Playstation 3 and 4 and Xperia smartphones and tablets. The move integrates Spotify's 30-million song library and over 1.5 billion playlists into the new network, which boats a membership of 64 million users. -
Eric Prydz Unveils CHVRCHES 'Tether' Remix, Album Is In 'Final Stages'
Swedish producer Eric Prydz does not release music often, but when he does, he makes it count. He has previewed his remix for CHVRCHES track "Tether" from their 2013 album The Bones Of What You Believe. The "Everyday" producer premiered the remix to the world during his Ultra Music Festival set in 2014 and has since been tweaking it and playing the rework out in his live sets. 10 months later, it has been signed, named the hottest record in the world by Zane Lowe and has an official UK release date - March 29th. During his short interview after with Zane Lowe, the "Liberate" producer dishes on his long awaited artist album, saying it is in "Final stages, everything is done and it should be ready in two weeks." -

David Guetta appeared on Capital FM in the UK for an interview and among the topics discussed was a Martin Garrix collaboration he had just come from working on. Beaming from ear to ear talking about the track, Guetta proclaims in no uncertain terms about the track that "It's Biiiiiiiig!" He is pushed to reveal a little more and relents a little bit, saying that though it is still unfinished, they have two versions they are working on - a club mix which will be for them to play out and then a club/radio edit that will work with Guetta's mainstream sensibilities. -
Ludacris Wins Custody Battle For Daughter Cai
Atlanta rapper Ludacris, real names Christopher Bridges, has won his day in court. He was given full custody of his 13-month daughter Cai after a prolonged custody battle with his baby mama Tamika Fuller. According to MStarz She testified that the "Stand Up" rapper was distraught about hearing the news of the pregnancy and tried to bribe her to abort the baby. The confident rapper refuted her story in court with his side of the story, which eventually swayed the judge to rule in his favor. -
Ariana Grande Hints at New Song With "Be My Baby" Collaborator Cashmere Cat Ahead of Honeymoon Tour
Disney pop princess Ariana Grande is getting set to the hit road this winter and spring for a whirlwind arena tour across North America. Before she does, though, it appears that the "Love Me Harder" singer has been working on some new music with her producer BFF Cashmere Cat, who produced the record "Be My Baby" for her. The ethereal and sensual R&B collaboration was a change of pace from the upbeat Zedd collab "Break Free" that was found on "My Everything." She hinted on Twitter that she was cutting a new track for the "Wedding Bells" producer's album, via "edm.com." Cashmere Cat will be joining Grande on the Honeymoon tour as the opener, so it would be smart to get to the shows early. -

That number was much higher then the original $8 million, which has been the reported advance on "Tha Carter V" that Weezy had reportedly originally sued Cash Money for. "The Fader" got a digital copy of the lawsuit and put it online, pulling back the curtain on the entire YMCMB legal and financial relationship and revealing why Lil Wayne -- real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. -- decided to sue for $51 million. -
BBC Releasing Documentary on Kraftwerk's Tate Gallery London Residency [WATCH]
One of the most important acts in electronic music, Kraftwerk are the subject of a new documentary by BBC Four, a TV channel operated by the BBC. Titled "Kraftwerk: Pop Art," the documentary takes a deeper look into the pioneering German electronic music group's eight-day residency at London's Tate Art Gallery. The residency, or exhibit, titled "Kraftwerk -- The Catalogue 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8," was a "chronological exploration of the group's sonic and visual experiments and presents eight classic master works from across their celebrated repertoire with spectacular 3D visualizations and effects," according to the show description. -

The Jay Z-Funkmaster Flex beef has cooled off somewhat, but that does not mean it has gone away entirely. There were some pretty serious accusations thrown out there by Funkmaster Flex, including that Jay Z does not let anybody play Dipset at the 40/40 Club and HOV had used an interview for his website "lifeandtimes.com" as a rouse to try and get information on building an app. Jay has not commented on the situation yet and probably will not for some time, if ever, as his former manager and business partner Dame Dash discussed the situation in a recent interview, saying that Jay was too corporate to respond. -

The end of 2014 was very personal for Nicki Minaj as she bore all to the world about her love life and how it influenced her over the process of creating her latest album The Pinkprint. The man at the center of this, her ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, who became embroiled in controversy after he gave an interview with the Breakfast Club and made comments that insinuated that he had written some of Minaj's music. There were those who questioned his claims from the start as a possible publicity stunt to remain in the spotlight or help launch something of his own, but he has taken to twitter to clear up the whole matter. Bobby Shmurda Reportedly Will Still Face Brooklyn Gun Charge From June 2014 Incident
Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda, born Ackquille Pollard, is being thrown back into the fire just after it appeared the "Hot N***a" rapper had caught a break. A few days ago, it was reported and confirmed by Shmurda's attorney Howard Greenberg that Pollard would have one of the gun charges against him dismissed. According to a report in "XXL," which spoke to Kait Cornell of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor's Office, this was only temporary and the charges are now being brought up in the larger narcotics case from a June 2014 incident. -
Tomorrowland 2015 Announces Two More Headliners: Avicii Set To Perform
Another day, another round of Tomorrowland lineup announcements. The last two days saw the ID&T festival announce that the Belgian National Orchestra, renamed the "Symphony Of Unity" and a Sven Vath led vinyl-only stage. Now the Belgium based festival has announced two solo artists who will be performing in 2015. In two twitter posts, Tomorrowland has invited Swedish superstar Avicii and German underground giant Solomun to perform on Friday, July 24th. -

The New York Rangers and MSG have teamed up with Henrik Lundqvist to present a new interview series titled "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist" where The King (the nickname for Henrik) sits down with legends in their respective field to have a one-on-one interview and the guest will give the Ranger goalie a mask to be worn at some point during the season. The 5-part series will feature Dutch DJ, Tiësto, decorated Nascar driver Jeff Gordon, tennis champion John McEnroe, award-winning actor Michael J Fox and celebrity chef Mario Batali. -

Lil Wayne is not messing around at all. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Lil Wayne was suing Birdman's Cash Money Records for the $8 million advance that he was owed on Tha Carter V. Now, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ the "Start A Fire" rapper has decided to up the ante a lot and sue Birdman for a reported $51 million. He is also filing with the judge to end his contract with Cash Money records once and for all. -

Nathan Barnatt is known for his creative and at times wacky videos, and his new clip for Skrillex's "Ease My Mind" featuring the vocals of Niki & The Dove is no different. Taken from Moore's 2014 album Recess, "Ease My Mind" has been one of the standouts from the album and has remained one of the lasting singles to come from the album. Barnatt's video does what he does best, bringing his whacked out dance moves to the Skrillex-crafted beat. He manages to mold his odd personality and quick editing into a storyline about love and love lost that fits with the theme of the song. If it were not for the fact that Skrillex has pretty twisted videos and Nathan Barnatt is somewhat of a YouTube celebrity, someone might mistake this for his official video. -

Ultra Music Festival Europe has announced the first batch of artists who will be heading to Croatia in July. The festival will welcome headliners Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell / Ingrosso, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Tiësto and Zedd to the festival, while The Chemical Brothers will lead the live initiative. Ultra Europe will feature the same "Resistance" concept that is being premiered at its Miami parent festival. Carl Cox will host his own specially curated Carl Cox & Friends stage once again at the Split-based festival for another underground-leaning stage. -

The lineup includes some big names like Dog Blood, Disclosure, Dixon, MK, Joris Voorn, Luciano and Richie Hawtin. There will be plenty of DJs bringing out their live setups like Ten Walls, Clark, Henrik Schwarz and others, via "Beatport." -

Sónar Festival just got a lot bigger with a second batch of artists that have been added to its 2015 lineup. The legendary Barcelona, Spain-based festival has added 32 names to its roster of artists, and it did not skimp on the acts. Sticking to the mission of keeping away from your typical commercial acts, Sónar added names like Jamie xx, Maya Jane Coles, Die Antwoord, Flying Lotus and FKA twigs to the roster. Not afraid to push boundaries, Sónar has tabbed Skrillex as one of its Phase 2 headliners, which caused quite a stir the first time around, but now not many will raise a fuss this time because hating on Skrillex has largely gone out of style. -
Snapchat Launches 'Discover' Feature With Warner Music and Media Giants CNN, Vice and Others
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Snapchat rolled out its new feature, Discover, which partners the social media platform with major media giants to help users "discover" what is going on through its service. The new, built-in feature was rolled out with a 50-second story that was sent to all users and featured in a YouTube video that explained what it does and how users will be able to access it. The app has teamed up with Warner Music Group in addition to media giants "Vice," "The Daily Mail," Comedy Central, "Cosmopolitan," Yahoo, "People" and National Geographic. -
