  • Game Pens Op-Ed On Baltimore Protests, 1992 L.A. Riots

The United States has once again risen up in protest in the wake of the death of Freddie Gray a week after being taken into police custody. The official police investigation was just turned into the Maryland state attorney, but the past week has seen tensions escalate to riots, looting and clashes with police in the city, resulting in a mandatory curfew and the military being called in to restore order. Protests have broken out in solidarity all over the country in hotspots like New York City, Ferguson and Los Angeles, as well as other cities like Denver. The incident has restarted the conversation on the marginalization of young African Americans in United States society and police brutality and how to right these wrongs. Many people have an opinion on this, some more educated then others, and one is rapper The Game, who was just an 11-year-old kid at the time of the L.A. riots after Rodney King was brutally killed by Los Angeles police and recalls taking part in the looting and rioting that followed. • David Guetta Describes Preforming at Coachella Without Pre-Set Playlist

David Guetta is one of the biggest DJs in the world. He has been one of the primary drivers for the EDM explosion in the United States around 2009, 2010 with tracks like "I Got A Feeling" with the Black Eyed Peas and "Sexy B*tch" with Akon. Without those, the packed stadium tours, eye-popping festivals and multi-billion dollar EDM industry might not have been possible or would have taken longer to develop. This has not been without criticism however. He has been accused of using playing "pre-recorded" DJ sets, where just stands with his hands in the air, while an hour-long pre-made mix plays. Evidence has been put forth for and against Guetta playing pre-recorded sets, but it appears in a new interview with Beatport at Coachella, he might have admitted to performing pre-planned sets that verge on pre-recorded.

  • The Game Has Been Rapping The Same Freestyle For Five Years

The art of freestyling has been diluted in recent years. Even with this noted dilution, it is still expected for rappers to make appearances and freestyle on radio shows or at random public appearances and be prepared to spit 16 bars off of the top of their head. One of the mid 2000s most successful rappers, The Game has been put in that situation many times over his career and in recent years, some of his freestyles have been on camera and uploaded to the web. An enterprising individual or fan on reddit went through a bunch of his recent freestyles and noticed one disturbing trend - Game has been rapping the same one over the past five years.

  • Parody TIDAL Facts Twitter Account Created To Troll Jay Z

Yesterday, Jay Z got tired of seeing all of the negative publicity surrounding his latest acquisition, the hi-fidelity music streaming service TIDAL, and decided to lay out some #TIDALfacts of his own to shed some light on the situation in a stream of conscious rant / explanation. He revealed for the first some a small bit of concrete information on the royalty structure that is being championed by the service as better than its competition. 75 percent of revenue will be paid to artists, writers and producers, rather than the current model where most money heads straight to labels and distributors, not the content creators. With all of the hate that TIDAL has been getting, it was only a matter of time before someone parodied what Jay Z had to say and one individual created a fake Tidal Facts twitter account to give the "real" facts about the service and those involved. We have selected a few choice tweets from the account for you below.
