    Ultra Music Festival 2015 wrapped up Sunday night with a surprise guest-laden performance from American bass don Skrillex that included Diddy, Kiesza, Diplo and Justin Bieber. By all accounts, the festival was a success and the police numbers that have been released appear to back that up. Arrests were down in 2015, compared to 2014, from 84 to 76 with a sharp decline in felonies down from 31 to 20 according to data from the Miami PD via the Miami New Times.

OG Maco of "U Guessed It" fame will support the tour. It will take the Atlanta rap trio all across the country to music hot spots like New York City, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Detroit, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as smaller markets like Raleigh, Salt Lake City, Cleveland, Santa Ana and Birmingham.

    After a busy Miami Music Week for Kaskade, which included a Redux gig at the Grand Central Saturday, March 28, it appears the "Atmosphere" DJ is reuniting with his longtime friend and past collaborator deadmau5 on a possible new track. A fan posed the question to deadmau5 -- real name Joel Zimmerman -- on Twitter, a medium he is active on, if there would be another collaboration between the "Strobe" producer and Kaskade. This new track would be the third track between the pair and the first since their iconic 2009 single "I Remember," which followed up the 'Strobelight Seduction' single "Move for Me."   • Wilco Cancel May Indiana Show To Protest State's New 'Religious Freedom Restoration' Law

    Chicago-based rock band Wilco have decided to cancel their May 7 gig in Indiana in response to the recent and very controversial "Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act" that was signed into last by Republican Governor Mike Pence last week. The bill is gives businesses the right to deny patrons on religious grounds, but is perceived to go further in its language to potentially allow discrimination towards individuals, notably gays. Gay marriage became legal in the state last year after the courts struck down the ban and Republicans looked to counter with a religious freedom act. Wilco has exercised their own freedom to not perform in the state. The "I am Trying To Break Your Heart" band posted the news on the Facebook.

The event was live streamed as Jay Z announced his plans for the Hi-FI service with Madonna, Kanye West, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Usher, deadmau5, Jason Aldean, Jack White, Daft Punk, Beyoncé, Arcade Fire's Win Butler, Alicia Keys, Coldplay and Calvin Harris.

The track was first premiered during his surprise back-to-back set with Skrillex on Hard Events and Bowery Presents' Holy Ship!. The track will be released next Monday on April 6.

    DJ equipment and software manufacturer Native Instruments has announced one of its most ambitious projects yet: Stems. The new audio file format is designed for DJs and live performers because it can split up a song into four different tracks: the bass, drums, melody and vocals. These "stems" give the performer more flexibility when playing live as they have many more options when playing music with the combinations available to given to them. It allows them to remix on the fly. Officially announced March 27 during the Winter Music Conference, the new audio-format has already seen support from the likes of Luciano, DJ Craaze, and MK; retailers Beatport, Juno and Traxsource; and labels Cr2 Records, Noir Music, Toolroom and others.

    A posthumous CD compilation crafted by the godfather of house music, Frankie Knuckles, is being released by Defected Records with all proceeds of the sales going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Frankie Knuckles Fund. The 'House Masters' compilation was originally started in February 2014, shortly before the Chicago DJ died. The project, which includes handpicked singles and remixes from Knuckles's career, was sidelined when the "Whistle Song" DJ died March 31, 2014.

Normally, UMF is the last weekend of March with Miami Music Week leading up to it, but the festival has decided to move the event up a week and do it March 18 to 20.

  • Beyond Wonderland 2015 Attendee, 22, Dies From Possible Seizure: Exact Cause Of Death Still Unknown

    Tragedy has truck the dance music festival circuit again. 22-year-old year old San Diego native, John Hoagn Dihn Vo, died after collapsing and suffering from a possible seizure at Insomniac Events run Beyond Wonderland at the San Manuel Amphitheater in Devore, California. Vo was pronounced dead after 11 p.m. on March 20 according to the supervising deputy coroner, Randy Emon via the LA Times. The cause of death has not been determined, though a toxicology test is being run to detect if any drugs were in his system.

The commercial starts with Garrix and Tiësto sitting side-by-side in a trailer, talking about how each one of them has been an influence on the other and presumably listening to the track through Tiësto's headphones on a laptop. They are ejected out into a desert outside of Las Vegas with absolutely nothing around, but that is soon going to change.

    Whoa... we did not see this one coming at all. This collaboration came deep out of the Wrigley Field ivy in left field, According to an Instagram post by Diplo with a selfie of him and the Led Zeppelin legend, Robert Plant, the pair are collaborating on something. The caption simply says "collab coming soon" so it isn't clear what they are working on or who it is for - it could be basic production work for a new Plant song, or Robert could be laying down some vocals for a new Diplo track.

    Major Lazer's long-awaited cartoon series finally has a launch date. The premiere will take place on Thursday, April 16 at midnight as a part of FXX's regular Animation Domination programming. According to reports, the show will not only feature the Major Lazer character that has been a fixture in their videos over the past few years, but it will also have guest appearances from stars like comedians Aziz Ansari and Andy Samberg and musicians like Tiësto, Trinidad James, Charli XCX, RiFF RAFF, The Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koening and many more.

    The Coachella 2015 countdown clock has hit two weeks until Weekend 1 and the anticipation is at a fever pitch. The lineup has been announced in full and all of the surrounding pre-parties and events during the week, dubbed by those around as "localchella," have been revealed. But the day-to-day schedules and set times have not been unveiled, but one of Saturday's March 28 headliners just gave away when he will be playing. The Weeknd took to Twitter today, March 26, via 'Hot New Hip Hop,' in excitement to share that he is closing out the festival Saturday night. The "Earned It" crooner does not say which stage he is performing on, but he will be the last performer on one of them both Saturday nights.

The app allows users to peruse the service's vast music library and stream any song on it for free in its entirety. The move is an attempt to try and fill the void in the streaming marketplace for electronic music where Spotify, Pandora, Deezer and others have been slow to upgrade their own libraries.
  • Passion Pit "Lifted Up (1985)" Music Video: 'Kindred' Band Frontman Michael Angelakos Trapped in Mosh Pit [WATCH]

    Passion Pit have unveiled the music video for their single "Lifted Up (1985)." Taken from their upcoming artist album 'Kindred,' the video puts band frontman Michael Angelakos in the middle of a raving mosh pit that starts with seizing strobe lights and calms somewhat visually to rave with lasers, glow sticks and light-up mouth guards. Angelakos gets pushed and bumped around a lot during the video, but never breaks stride. He even gets himself a light-up mouth guard and, in a seemingly unscripted moment, has it knocked out by wild partygoers and reacts with a wry smile. He ends in a crowd more fitting of a Passion Pit show with more beards and less neon who jump around in a more orderly fashion before he is lifted up above the riff-raff.
