    Future's 'Dirty Sprite 2' was expected to top the Billboard albums charts, but not even the emcee himself could have predicted just how well the album would do: DS2 moved 131,500 actual albums, more than double what Honest sold during 2014. Needless to say, it was the performer's best sales week to date.

    Future found the secret to moving more albums with his 'Dirty Sprite 2': Don't give people time to think about it. The album topped the Billboard 200 with more than 147,000 equivalent copies sold, just two weeks after the album was announced. It's been a little more than a year since he released Honest, and he more than doubled the sales of that effort. The quick-release method has helped other rappers Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill get to the top of the charts as well during 2015.

    The 2014 edition of the "CMA Country Christmas" special aired last night, Dec. 1, and it featured some big names and classic tunes. Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson and Little Big Town were on hand to spread some holiday cheer. Aerosmith's Steven Tyler stopped by, and the whole event was hosted by Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, who has been in control of the show for the last few years. Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes and Lucy Hale all contributed songs.A few of the highlights from the show came in the form of duets between artists of the country persuasion and guests from other genres. Tyler and Paisley teamed up for a revved-up version of "Run, Run Rudolph" that showcased the country star's guitar chops.     Country music's The Boot debuted the Golden Boot Awards this year with five categories: Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Live Act of the Year and Artist of the Year. Each category featured seven artists who made waves in the country world from May 2013 through April 2014. Fans voted through June 9, 2014 and winners were announced earlier this week.
