Calvin Harris has become a successful artist not just in the EDM space, where he has dominated in his own right, but also on the radio, where label executives and A&Rs have clamored for Calvin-Harris-type, dance-pop, crossover hits. That success has led Harris to lofty sales, notably for singles, and a new achievement has just been given to the "Blame" artist -- or at least was supposed to be given to him. Calvin Harris went double platinum for his hit single "Sweet Nothing, featuring the ethereal vocals of Florence Welch of Florence & The Machine, but the plaque was delivered to the wrong address. Deadmau5 took to his favorite medium of communication, social media, to let Calvin know that he had some hardware waiting for him, via "Mixmag." -
Calvin Harris Reportedly Will Earn $400,000 Per Gig in New Hakkasan Deal
According to reports, EDM megastar Calvin Harris & Las Vegas nightlife brand Hakkasan Group are expected to announce a deal very soon that will lock the "Blame" producer in for reportedly three years and will net Harris $400,000 a gig. Calvin Harris is currently a resident at Hakkasan and was the DJ there on New Year's Eve, where you could have gotten a table for $500,000. Harris will also be reportedly playing shows at Hakkasan and Omnia Nightclub, the newly opened club in the Caesars Palace, which boasts a DJ roster of Afrojack, Armin van Buuren and Martin Garrix. -

The Prodigy Tease New Single 'Nasty' Release Date From Upcoming Album
U.K. electronic band The Prodigy appear to be breaking their studio silence at last and are ready to release some new music very soon. Very little information has emerged about the new album except that Liam Howlett was busy writing and recording, but sometime in the spring of 2015 the album was tentatively scheduled for release. Now they have provided more details about possible new music by teasing the cover art of their new single "Nasty Nasty" on Instagram. The song will apparently come out, according to the caption, sometime in January, though they will not reveal the exact date. -
Calvin Harris Will Have Role In Entourage Movie; Flying Lotus On Soundtrack
The Entourage Movie has spread across the internet like wildfire over the past few days with screenshots from the upcoming trailer that will be released at 11 a.m. PST today (Dec. 23). In addition to the news about the trailer and the screenshot, more details have surfaced about the movie Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier) is shooting during the Entourage Movie (a movie about a guy making a movie for those you who don't know the premise of Entourage). Calvin Harris posted the film poster online that shows a hooded chase on the cover in a futuristic cityscape, but also reveals that Calvin Harris, the Scottish DJ / producer superstar will be costarring next to Grenier in the film titled Hyde. In another twist, Flying Lotus will be providing the soundtrack to the movie. -
Calvin Harris Will Be the Face of Emporio Armani in 2015
Calvin Harris may be the richest man in dance music by a mile but that is not stopping him from keeping the cash flowing with major sponsorship deals. It has been announced today that the "Blame" producer will be the new face of Emporio Armani Spring/Summer Collection. The chart-topping DJ / producer will be modeling next season's Armani eyewear and watches. According to Mixmag, photographer Boo George in Los Angeles took the photos. The full campaign will be rolled out in January.
