David Bowie's 'Rebel Rebel' will be released as a special 7" picture disc to celebrate the song's 40th anniversary
It has been announced that David Bowie's glam rock anthem "Rebel Rebel" will be released as a special edition 40th anniversary 7" picture disc this year. The song, released in February 1974, appeared on Bowie's acclaimed album Diamond Dogs and was the last glam hit for the iconic artist before his sound transitioned. -
UK vinyl sales exploded in 2013, Arctic Monkeys and Daft Punk at top
It was a "record" breaking year for vinyl sales in the UK. Or at least the highest it's been since 1997 when 817,000 records were sold, The Telegraph reports. Data from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) and the Official Charts Company show 780,000 vinyl albums were sold. Topping the sales was Arctic Monkeys' AM and Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. -
